If that's the case, I'll wait until later in the summer.
I can't wait to ride it though.
I have a bad feeling that its going to slow down a lot after it comes back up the hill and into the park again. Shall wait and see though! *** Edited 5/8/2008 1:40:11 PM UTC by eightdotthree***
How did it look in person, I swear these videos always make rides looks so slow.
I may be there next Saturday. This thing finally opening deserves a special trip.

If anyone shows up before the first train rolls out thats where you'll find me.
From the park you don't see much more than the lifthill and station thanks to the placement behind Wipeout, skyride and sea dragon. I was surprised to find the que line is below grade behind the station.
The maintenance men said they had hoped to get the ride up and running this afternoon, however when I followed up and asked Paul Nelson when he was walking around, he said that the ride was down, and men were working on the braking lines.
Got a lot of good shots, and will have them posted soon... come to think about it, rsscbell, I think I saw you... did you ask the maintenance men about whether they'd be running trains through? If so, I have photos with you in them on the Comet, haha.
I can't wait until next Saturday. It was such a tease to have this awesome looking ride right infront of me, and me not be able to ride it. Soon enough! The ride will also be 3 tickets (same as the Steel Dragon, Comet, and the Ferris Wheel). This is where the $4.50 price per ride comes in, as 1 ride ticket costs $1.50.
