I am about 50/50 on being there on Saturday. Hopefully the weather will be a little better than the current forecast.
On the plus side, it looks like the forecasts have upped the temperature a bit.

It is next to impossible to not get "value" out of a Waldameer visit. I wish I could say the same for C.P. *** Edited 5/15/2008 1:23:24 PM UTC by rsscbell***
It wasn't about the price. I'm totally OK with ponying up money to ride. I'm less ok with hanging out in 50 degree weather while it rains and the wind blows.
I've even less less OK with what may be my only chance to visit this season being a photo-op dud, dreary day with rain and overcast skies.
We'll see...
This kind of upsets me, because it will mean that the coaster will be even more crowded than it already would have been. Oh well, I'll be there to get at least one ride, as I already have 4 ride tickets from a previous visit this year.
The funny thing about Waldameer is that attendants are usually too busy to even check that you have a wristband or not... Many of my friends go to the park and get 3 tickets and just hop in line, and only give tickets if asked, and most of the time get on about 3 or 4 rides for the price of one.

This is true. When the spinner opened I bought enough tickets for only two rides but got on a third time cause they never asked for my tickets. He he.
My daughter brought home a P.T.A. flyer selling combo passes for $12 that are good for June and last full week of August. I'll get some up for when my nephew visits in late June. My last visit will be my company picnic which was $8 last year including food.
So this will be my only full price visit and I still think its a good deal.

Want to sell some extra ones? Good only June and that last week? If they are also good in July, I'd be getting about 50 of them because of a family picnic we're having up there :)
Other altenative is buy 2 cases of pepsi "coupon" cans. They usually save $2.50 per combo. I haven't seen one yet but they seem to do it every year.
Just took a peek at the rates and you can get them for $15.25 which is not bad at all. School voucher are good for May,June and August 19th thru Labor day. *** Edited 5/15/2008 6:36:48 PM UTC by rsscbell***
Why do we have 2 people admitting that they get on rides without giving ride tickets and not having wrist bands? That is steeling and that is wrong! You should be ashamed of your selves not be bragging about it!
Yes ride a rama wrist bands are 19.45 for rides, 14.95 for water world and 21.95 for a combo pass.

2009 What a great year!
In any case, the forecast for Erie is very sketchy by local television standards, I don't trust them. The Weather Channel always seems more accurate than anything else, and it is calling for 60 degrees, 60% chance of Thunderstorms, so it is looking pretty grim.
Whether or not I ride more than once on Saturday, I will be there, only because I live close and I already have 5 ride tickets.
