Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 publisher Infogrames today posted shots of the forthcoming game in conjunction with the E3 show, going on now in Los Angeles. The shots include Intamin box track, Arrow 4D, Giovanola hypers, new theme elements and scenario editing.

See the screen shots from Infogrames.

This is very exciting. But as Rob Alvey said, where do you get the demo?????? Im confus-ed.

Dunno if anyone mentioned it, but there is an Arrow hyper in there with larger-radius curves for the tops/bottoms of hills.
Intamin box track...mmmmmmm...

Did anyone notice the tables??? That's exciting...guests won't have to eat at benches anymore...i'm really excited for this game...i just hope there's more flat rides too, but if there's not it's okay. (frisbee, jump and swings would be nice)

"you give me the most gorgeous sleep that i've ever had and when it's really bad i guess it's not that bad" Underneath it all- no doubt

The only thing I am disappointed about so far is that I dont see waterparks or night. But other than that I am extremely happy with the new coasters and the new options. I know it is not going to have everything we all want but it is a good thing to keep us playing.

Giovani, Intimin Box Track, Impulse, Curved Drops, SF park recreations By Chris Sawyer. I think i'm in a dream!!! Or am I !!

I just try to keep my mind off RCT2 because it'll just make me more excited, but... What the heck, I CANT WAIT!!!

Roller Coasters or sports? I guess there are questions nobody can answer!

It also looks like you can put the roofs over the queue

Exuse me but can someone please direct me to the Soap Box Racer picture everyone is talking about? I haven't seen one yet in the pictures and I think I saw the floorless swinging trains but I couldn't tell.

Man I can hardly wait till this comes out. It's got nearly everything we asked for and then some,I love the new double wide paths as well as the new design for guest and ride windows and can hardly wait to see what else the game has to offer, you can bet that I'll be spending many a day drooling over these screenshots.

Dont dismiss the game because GRAPHICALLY it looks the same.

The addition of First Aid, ATMs etc implies smarter and better Guest AI which in turn will require better Guest Management. The enhancements are great and can only get better but I am hoping that the game has got smarter and easier to manage. Maybe even the option to maintain several parks on the go eg imagine a Six-Flags scenario where you must maintain two separate parks on the fly, that would be cool!

There is no public demo. What Robb got to play with was an incomplete beta at E3. E3 is a trade show for the game industry. Publishers often bring their incomplete games to the show to give the press its first look at new stuff. Nintendo, for example, is showing all kinds of stuff that isn't even remotely close to being finished (what a real change of pace for them).

Oh, and then there's the booth babes. God I miss PC Accelerator. Their E3 coverage was mostly about the booth babes and parties, not the games. ;)

Is it me but the screenshot with Colossus, S:TE, and Goliath...

Doesn't Colossus look a little too perfect? It's not easy to make a racer look like that in RCT1.

One thing I've noticed is that even though we are getting new banked drops on many of the coasters, why can't the suspended coaster get banked turns/drop turns?

Other than that I'm very excited about this new sequel. Can't wait.

Very Nice. Like the looks of X! Does this mean there will be a recreation of Six Flags Magic Mountian with X included in the game?

wickedtwisted- Its in the picture with the impulse. It it on the top right corner and kind of hard to see but its there.

Also, does anybody think that they will release a public demo? I mean the game is coming out in several months and surely they'll do something to make us not lose intrest.

the soap box racer is in the 10th screen shot. it's the screen shot titled Object Selection. covered queues, ridden ride lists in the people description boxes, seafood stall, t-shirt stall, toffee apples....sheesh...what more do we really need here folks? a scenario editor to boot...this puppy is mine.

quick...fast forward to october.....

was just thinking a transfer track would be kinda neat in the future.

I've just seen the future...what was I saying?

I like the spell check dealy there Jeff. Not working yet though i see. ;)
