Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 publisher Infogrames today posted shots of the forthcoming game in conjunction with the E3 show, going on now in Los Angeles. The shots include Intamin box track, Arrow 4D, Giovanola hypers, new theme elements and scenario editing.

Whoa! First shot I saw was of a 4D... HECK YES! :)
Come on, October! Oh wait, I want summer instead. ;)

That's a pretty sorry looking X, but I'm all about the Intamin track styles (Impulse!) and the scenario editor.

When I saw 4D, I meant, heck yes--much more diversity. :) Diversity is good in RCT, no matter how crappy looking the coaster might be, it's the GUESTS that matter in RCT.
Yes, Intamin stuff looks awesome and vertical twists on a B&M, oooh yah!

the only thing i really wanted was an intamin track. chris sawyer gave that and more. this looks so awesome. You can even make an impulse!!! im gettin this the first day it comes out no matter what. the ride creation looks so much better too. in one of the pictures it looked like he had the paths like a real park. wider than one block. i dont know if thats cause he made the peeps smarter or just so itd look like magic mt. o well whenever they set the date on this, its goin up on my calander.

Why do I get this feeling from looking at the photos that the game really hasnt changed all that much and this is nothing more than the original game engine with a few additions that could have been added with an expansion pack?
Unlike everyone else here, I am kind of disappointed so far.

The one showing the mini-steel in white is interesting. Does that mean there will be some time for it to be built like many people hoped or is that just to show how a pre-made rollercoaster will look?
Also in one it looks like you can have an entrance and an exit station. Thats pretty cool.

Things a bear-y fine, ridin' on the old Knott's bear-y line!
4D, Intamin Mega coasters, Giovanola Mega coasters and some more company tracks. But not much has happened graphicly but that means that most of the computers can handle this game which is something good.
I hope there'll be pretty much more than the pics shows for now,,, or it just looks like it'll be the biggest addon for RCT for now :)
Looks like a ton of the stuff people asked for in the original RCT games will be included here. Definitely much more freedom (even though I've always been more of a scenario guy myself) and features than the original. Look pretty slick overall.

I think Sawyer's prior comments about better land manipulation, clear cutting and adding a scenario editor alone is worthy of the upgrade, but your experience may vary. ;)
