The only coaster from canada on the list is from BC. i hope PCW can get there act together and get a ***** star coaster. they should feel shame.

1.Fire Dragon, 2.Ice Dragon, 3.Raptor, 4.Kraken, 5.Batman Knight Flight
I want to know why people are holding things against Gerstlauer equipt. trained coasters, I love the freedom the G's give, (More like a classic ride than a ratchet and divider equipt train).
I mean, It's hard for me to choose between Legend and Raven but Legend is the longer, more intense coaster and therefore in my book the Best Woodie on the planet.

Chuck, who has 47 woodies to his record *** This post was edited by Charles Nungester on 8/2/2001. ***
I thought Mean Streak was okay, maybe a little rough. Of course there are lots of wooden coasters that are not as massive as Beast and all, but are enjoyable as well, such as Six Flags Worlds of Adventures' Big Dipper. Historic coasters like that one or any of Kennywood's are really enjoyable. Jack Rabbit's double dip is awesome. I still have yet to find out whether or not Phantom's Revenge will get the tunnel next year. If anyone knows, plase tell me.

Thanks,
Zar
What happened to Shockwave? It was on the list last year.

(Thinking bad thoughts about this list)

Maybe I ain't so shy!
This reminds me of last year at PKI. I went on the Breast(Beast) with a woman who flashed me. I have seen the theming on that ride. Hehehe

Darren Mullins(who isn't making this up)
I can't believe magnum is always on there. Where is batman knight flight? Can someone please type down the top 50 list of the steel coasters, not just the 25.
Wow do I have a lot to say. First of all, for the person who felt that one of the (several) vekoma Mind Erasers should be on the list, please explain why. Now I know I shouldn't be dissing any coasters, but a lot of people like this coaster and I don't know why. I've never been on something so bumpy. When I get off of this ride, my ears hurt like crazy. Try a B&M (coaster gods) inverted. They're as smooth as glass. Second, why wouldn't Steel Dragon 2000 be on the list. For those of you who think it shouldn't, have you ever been to Japan to ride it? Give it some credit. I mean, it is the longest, tallest, and fastest continuous circuit coaster on the planet. They should get something for that. Congrats to DH Morgan and don't give up. You'll get the recognition you deserve eventually.
Another thing, for the guy who thinks Titan should be higher on the list, have you been out of Texas? I know I haven't ridden Titan yet, but it just opened and not many people have been to it. Get out to the rides that did beat Titan and see why the other coasters beat it. This should explain why some coasters were lower than others. The newer coaster haven't been riden by as many riders as the older ones. Give the new ones some time, they'll make it up there (even Titan) =-)
Let me say one more thing. (Sorry, my computer is slow and made me break up this message into three seperate segments). I also wanted to tell Darren Mullins that the whole breast thing was pretty funny. That is good themeing! However, themeing is very important on this type of survey. I just went to SFNE yesterday and even though Superman is awsome, the themeing enhances the experience. At the beginning they show and describe all of the Superman characters on the wall and have a comic book on the walls in one of the buildings. Also, Superman is set in a place that looks exactley like Metropolis. It really feels like you're in a Superman comic book. Also, the river is on the left as you go up the lift hill and there are two tunnels (one at the bottom of the first hill) that are filled with steam (water vapor). The whole experience is incredible. However, I don't understand why so many people think S:ROS @ SFNE is better then Millenium Force. Then again, is Millenium Force themed very well? All of this is taken into consideration while making a survey. Personally, S:ROS @ SFNE is my favorite coaster. I got to sit in the front seat for the first time and it was incredible! However, I still think the backseat it the best. I love being hurled over the top of the hill and thrown into the 78 degree drop(only two degrees less than Millenium Force)!
how do i get the top 50 of each list
it is bout time the Force made it to #1, that is the grand daddy of all coasters. like some of you i am sad bout the raptors drop, but am still glad the S:ROS at SFDL is still up there, that is a great ride. I will have to go and ride some of the newer ones like Phantom , Nitro , and i really want to try out S:ROS at SFNE this time. i didnt really pay any attention to the woddies, if am not a really big fan of some of those, more steel, but i am glad to see the Villian from SFWoA up there
~ Ecthelion
same here ecthelion, but i woudl still like to know how to get the entire 50 list of both sttel and wood.
I wonder how X-Flight would rank. . .
Also, has anyone ever been on Dragon Mountain at Marineland? Though not a very extensive park, I really enjoyed that ride. It was relatively long, well-themed, and had some tunnels, something I wish Phantom's Revenge had. . .
Just got back from SFGA this week and rode NITRO 3 times. Great layout and the open feeling of the trains was nice. All 3 trains were running so I never waited more than 15 minutes!!!! I even got a fastlane pass and didnt even need to use it. But in the end S:ROS at SFNE (my home park) is ten times better
The lists are just an average opinion of a group of riders, no more and no less, I don't place alot of importance on it.  If I am a fanatic about a particular coaster,  I'll put that list on the track at the bottom of the first hill.... I find it hard to imagine that there are 24 wooden coasters better than the Cyclone at SFNE  -  Cyclone totally rocks!

But far as MF, S:ROS and Magnum are concerned, I happen to agree that MF is all alone out front.  No words can do it justice, you just can't touch it!  SFNE is my home park and S:ROS is a great ride all the way through, it's just that after MF it seems like a kiddy coaster!  Well, not really, S:ROS gives tons of air, speed and curves, it's an awesome ride, just not MF.  Magnum is timeless with it's straight up agressive style, yeah Magnum, that's real USA!  Was the best in '89 and through much of the 90s, and I am sure many people's favorite and always will be, just not MF!
