The Nitro is rank a little higher then 16. But SROS at six flags N.E is the bomb. i just got off the the coaster 30 min. ago.( for the 17th time this year). the ride is allllllllllllllll that. good voting people.

ok i know it's bad to bash coasters and all it's just i'm curious, what is so good abot the raven or the ledgend, i live 5 min fro both and hate both, do i just have poor taste in wooden coasters.
When I first heard the news a few days ago I was upset. I knew it was coming so its no big deal, I know whats number 1 in my book.

Hey if it gives me a shorter line on Maggie I won't complain!

I am glad to see that my favorite coaster, the Coaster at the PNE/Playland in Vancouver,BC is still on the list, even if it is towards the bottom.IMO,this the the best coaster available for us coaster starved people living in the Pacific Northwest. However ,I have not been to Silverwood yet to make a comparision with the coasters there.
another question, does steel dragon 2000 suck, cause it hasn't ever made the list, or does this list comanly exclude forign coasters

Santa Cruz Giant Dipper #21, way to go! What a great ride! I'm surprised neither Roar made the list, SFMW's is great!

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Davietheluvmonkey, the S:ROS at New England is very different in layout from the other two at SFDL & SFA which are mirror images of each other. As for the list; everyone's got an opinion...I guess we now know what'll be in the next Discovery Channel Top10 Coasters special.

Im Finnally Glad to see that Millenium is number 1. Im a liitle dissapointed that Raptor fell but thats okay. I'm really pleased with the showing of Phantom's Revenge becasue i have riiden it 16 times this year and it will be higher next year when more people ride it. Im glad that Mean Streak is gone but I think the Thunderbolt should be higher.
Lots of great coasters that deserved it got ranked. But truthfully even though it holds records i dont think #1 should of went to MF. Another thing is Goliath is 14th yet Titan is 21st. I didnt think a helix made that much of a difference. For the wooden side it seems most of the spots go to smaller parks with their woodie a signature. Spots on the steel side go to world-class parks like Cedar Point, Six Flags, Busch Gardens, etc.

I dont know.
Congratulations Millennium Force, I knew the moment we first met last summer that you would win hearts, and grow up to be very special some day.
And I also would like to tilt my hat to you Jeff, Your Amusement Park wit has contributed to a great following here at the Buzz. I enjoy reading all your views about the many National, and International Amusement Parks. I've been to many, but none are as special as Cedar Point. It really is the Paradise of all Amusement Parks.
So maybe our paths will cross at the Point next summer Jeff, and in the mean-time keep the coasterbuzz press thriving, and as they say at Cedar Point, May the FORCE be with you.
im suprised that riddlers revenge and batman aren't on there, but goliath is a great ride, i wanna go on millenium force
Steel Force is probably the most let down of a coaster I've ever been on. And I agree, Texas Giant is really, really rough lately.

What a sad day for Magnum fans...oh well, it was bound to come someday, and not like it changes my personal preferences any. It will take a LOT (more than MF) to replace Maggie as my favorite.

While I haven't ridden Steel Force, I think that it has to be overrated. It may be a good coaster and all, but #4? and above the B&M hypers? The general consensus among buzzers seems to be that this is a good, but not mindblowing ride, and I wonder how it scored so high. Someone must've liked it.

And what about the Viper at SFGAm??? In my opinion, this should at least be a top 15 coaster. I liked it more than Villain, and I LOVE Villain. Everyone who rides Viper seems to be blown away by it, and yet, it remains underrated.

I didn't know PKI had a coaster named "The Breast." That may have what it takes to displace Maggie as my #1! :)

roller coaster n: an elevated railway (as in an amusement park) with curves and inclines on which cars roll.
Where is Kraken? I guess it's not in a coaster park so not too many people have ridden it. Dueling Dragons are 2 coasters, not 1. Glad to seee Mean Streak fell. What a junkpile they have made that ride into.
Well since I was hoping to get to SFNE this year, now I know I must. And as cool as MF is, I do love Magnum just that much more. But hey, if I could have just one in my backyard, just past the pool, it would have to be SFWoA's B:KF. I could ride that forever. And my neighbours would complain if I had Magnum:) It may be a dream, but maybe next year (ok, in the next couple) LaRonde may have something new to deserve a listing. Cheers

Attn: Six Flags, repainting the Cobra at LaRonde and calling it Batman "something" isn't going to cut it. We want NEW and cool coasters, and we want them yesterday.

It wasn't that it was rough, it was just horribly boring. And there isn't much I find boring, but my goodness, TX Giant takes it. It was just slow (ie rollback slow around the helix), overbrakes, and uninteresting. I thought the ending would have something to it, but I was very wrong. I guess it happened this year, because I heard NOTHING but praise from everyone.

But yeah, I can honestly say I'd rather ride Mean Streak than TX Giant. Shocked me as well, but it's true.

Joe, who will get to ride Mean Streak tomorrow (:)). God, I love Cedar Point!

Oh, and Jeremy, just because your beloved HXLC didn't make top 25 doesn't mean you can basically call enthusiasts fat ACEs. You hurt my feelings. ;) I think HXLC didn't make it because it's so short. I know that's why it's not anywhere near the top of my list.

Congrats to S:ROS at SFNE for getting the #2 spot. It's the best coaster I've ever ridden and deserves to hold a high position on the list. Congratulations to the Comet at the GE also. It may be getting rougher, but it's still a great coaster and it deserved it's #9 spot. Because there are several coasters I haven't ridden yet, I'm not going to diss any. However, I'm glad Millenium Force beat the beloved Magnum. Don't get me wrong, I haven't ridden either coaster, but Magnum had it's fame when it opened in 89. Millenium force deserved some credit for breaking the 300 ft. barrier. It would be a shame for Millenium Force to be beaten by the 200ft. (196ft. drop) wonder. It's good that Millenium Force is receiving the credit it deserves. As for Steel Dragon 2000, I don't understand why it didn't make the list. Another coaster I expected to make the top 25 was Stealth. The first flying coaster doesn't get any recognition? Oh well. Congratulation to those who made the list. Also, thanks to B&M, Intamin, CCI, Arrow and others for making it another great coaster year!
Legendary: I was just being an a-hole for the sake of being an a-hole. I didnt expect H:XLC to be near the top of the list (Hell, it isnt near the top of *my* list). But that doesnt dispute the fact that there *are* a ton of "super-sized" enthusiasts.
lata,
jeremy
--who doesnt understand why Legendary is upset as he might be the *one* enthustiast skinnier than the hostyl one :)
This thing is rigged we all know Nitro should be #1. Also the thing about Magnum is the sure back in 89 it was easily a #1 coaster but today...no
LMAO, Jeremy! I was joking, as I know there are a lot of pleasantly plump enthusiasts. I thought you'd get the irony of me saying that, since I weigh all of a buck fiddy.

Notice the ;) too. Perceptive, are we? Hahaha.

I'll ride one on MF for ya tomorrow.
