The results are in for Amusement Today's annual Golden Ticket Awards. The results are as follows:
Steel coasters:
|
Wood coasters:
|
Best park and capacity went to Cedar Point, Paramount's Kings Island scored with best kids area (crushing Islands of Adventure), while Holiday World again scored the friendliest and cleanest awards.
But far as MF, S:ROS and Magnum are concerned, I happen to agree that MF is all alone out front. No words can do it justice, you just can't touch it! SFNE is my home park and S:ROS is a great ride all the way through, it's just that after MF it seems like a kiddy coaster! Well, not really, S:ROS gives tons of air, speed and curves, it's an awesome ride, just not MF. Magnum is timeless with it's straight up agressive style, yeah Magnum, that's real USA! Was the best in '89 and through much of the 90s, and I am sure many people's favorite and always will be, just not MF!
