We commend you on that, CoastaPlaya!! Amen!!!

We don't want another loop added to it anyways.......I remember riding it when it was new, and that's how I always want to remember it..........The first awesome Steelie in Michigan!!!!

An extra loop or a sit down /air conditioned restarant? HMMMMMMMMMMM?

why doesn't this thread die?
After reading eight pages of this thread I come to the conclusion that if a hyper happen it would be great. But MA is nothing more than a start up that needs alot to get it to CF standards and will take probably 20 years or more at the current rate of expansion. The park has no sit down resteraunts, Shows, lights for nighttime, campground, hotel, observation tower, themed areas, public pinic area, halloweekends, camp snoopy, dark ride, laser or fireworks presentation. That's not including gaps in the ride/coaster package. It good little park but it needs lots and lots of tender, love, and care. It will be interesting this fall to see what the annoucement is for 2004 season.

Ugh. Reading 8 pages once was enough. You must be a glutton for punishment :)

I need to clarify. I've kept up with the thread since the beginning< I haven't sat there and read all eight pages of this thread at one time.

This thread doesn't die because we all enjoy discussing and reading about the future of MA. Go figure, since this is a discussion board.
I was at the park for most of the day today. I didn't see any signs of future constuction.

But it was sure nice to see BOTH sides of the park packed! It was my 5th visit this year and the first one that had people directing traffic where to park.

Timbers was a 25 minute wait. Mouse, 30.

MrScott

I was there yesterday, just as busy. Saw Camille Jourden-Mark, Steven Mark, and Janet Meyers roaming the park and said hi. They're the friendliest people :). Good to see the park crowded again, although I couldn't help but feel I was spoiled by the quiet early season.
Spoiled is right! I only took one ride on Timbers today because of the wait. And it was only minutes, not hours! I'll be there on Sunday for my sister's company outing, so I'll get more rides then.

Though less busy days are nice for lapping, it is nice to see the crowds. The park (or any park, for that matter) just comes alive.

MrScott

I'm going on Monday for the first time .

It's all about Coleman Spas

Glad to hear the park has been bustling! Wish I could have made it to the park while I was visiting family put I got to the Point (Rode TTD) and Great America (First time visit) so its not all bad........But no Timbers this year.........

WARNING:
You are no longer who you were and tomorrow is now yesterday. In the event of an emergency, do not become alarmed. Move Quickly to the nearest exit.
I was at the park again today and it was less busy than Friday, but still a healthy crowd. I did not visit the water park. ST was a 15 minute wait early in the afternoon (Dear God, it was hot and humid!) and a walkon after 3:30 pm. I saw and said hello to Camille (she was trying to coral her kid in the SP office :)

Is that dirt being moved that I saw at the top of ST over beyond the train? Hmmm. There's a manmade lake over there, too...could it be a campground in the future? Could the train that now has no obvious reason for being there have a future? Hmmmm...

I think so.

MrScott

The lake's been there as drainage for a long time; I've been watching that dirt too :). Unfortunately, I think it's a little too far from the midway's to be anything in the near future.

Not to change the subject, but this topic is lacking one thing....ST CHICK (Kara). Hope you are having fun this summer! I am so used to seeing MIA threads full of input from Kara.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

I don't visit many other parks so I am wondering if it is common for the general manager to have his or her children running around the park with them? It seems that many people have reported seeing MA's GM with hers.
Kara is having a blast at The Point, from what I have heard. She processes out the middle of August and we may hear from her around that time.

Until then, I'll keep an eye on her park...and her ride! I have 40 laps so far this season (WHY am I counting them?) and expect to get several more.

Nice to see bigger cowds lately! The park looks great!

Now we just need some additions...

MIAdvenFan,

It's a fambly park so I see nothing wrong with Camille having her kids there on the weekend. It was Sunday when I saw her there with (what I assume) was her kid. The little carpet dweller did not interfere with what she was doing at the time, and I thought it was pretty cool that she brought him there. She asked a security guy to make sure a door/gate was closed so he couldn't "escape". Then she left to put out what ever fire had started. Not a big deal, really.

MrScott

Oh I am sorry if I gave the wrong impression I never said there was anything wrong with it. I simply asked if it was commonplace. Sorry
