^^Rob, I'd say Ohio's best coaster PERIOD, steel or wood...

Can't imagine Eagle has been receiving anything resembling upkeep....:(

Ugh....

Don't remind me Gator! I really hope the ride opens with the supposed campground that'll be opening up there.

A comment about moving Geauga Lakes double loop coaster. I can think of a reason. It's a boring pointless ride. Lift hill...drop...loop...loop...turn...drop station. That's all the ride does, and it does it at a snails pace. Even Michigan's Adventures corkscrew is more fun than Double Loop. And, that is not saying much.

My friend and I went on it when the park was owned by Six Flags. Every other coaster in the park had a 30 to 45 minute wait in line. Not Double loop. We walked right into the station, and there were only six other people on the ride. All of them 12 to 14 year old brats.

I have to say that Double Loop is the worst steel coaster I have been on. It's not fun at all. There were really only four coasters of value in the park at that time, and those were;

Big Dipper, Batman Knight flight, SUE, and X-flight the rest just kinda sucked. And, no! I did not like the Villain! It's just like Mean Streak too rough!

^^ Double Loop is a much-needed step up from kiddie coaster for the park (see also: Corkscrew at Cedar Point).

I agree, there are very few coasters with only 1 or 2 inversions being built anymore and they are needed for people wanting to try inversions. My first looping coaster was Sooperdooperlooper and I was willing to try it because it only had 1 loop and knew that if I didn't like the loop, then there was no more inversions to worry about after that. If every coaster with inversions I saw had 4+ inversions (or maybe even 2 or 3+) I would have been a lot more hesitant to try it

You may find it boring but for a person who is just starting on coasters, it's the perfect one. And it won't be leaving the park anytime soon.

The Cedar Fair rep was at Eastcoaster on Saturday. It was confirmed that Steel Venom will not run in 2007 and will be moved to another, currently un-named, park.
Maybe Dorney, MIchigan's Adventures, or Corwinds. I'll be happy to see it go to either park, but i hopeing for a certain one.

^^Well there is all the confirmation that you need. :)
Lets just hope GL gets something to fill it's hudge gap now.

Where's there a park that doesn't have a name? :)

If you go to- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geauga_Lake_&_Wildwater_Kingdom and look under removed rides steel venom is said to be removed in 08. Like somebody said, so I guess this must be true. *** Edited 2/5/2007 2:44:04 AM UTC by Hoek*** *** Edited 2/5/2007 2:45:02 AM UTC by Hoek***

The rep was Mr. Hildebrandt (spelling?). I was also at Eastcoaster and he did say X-Flight and Steel Venom are both being relocated to other Cedar Fair parks.

^Hahaha, sorry, thats just funny. "It's on Wikipedia, so, it must be true"... You DO know that anyone can go there and edit an article right? In fact, The person who posted that news on this forum could have edited the article to say that. Damn, I shouldn't have told you that, I should have posted that 'they will never ever ever get a new ride because of obsessed Coasterbuzz posters who can't spell wanting them to get mega coasters and move scramblers. Oh, and that they released a statement saying "na-nee na-nee boo boo" ' :) *** Edited 2/5/2007 3:04:42 AM UTC by P18***
^You DO realize that's a running joke on here, right? ;)
^Yes, but I wasn't sure if he brought it up in that context going with the long running joke around here, or if he actually believed it... checking his profile seeing he only joined in December lead me to believe the later since hes only been here about a month. *** Edited 2/5/2007 4:17:02 AM UTC by P18***
