DDR bug has hit hard

You DO know that PSX games play on PS2 right?

I'm only saying that cause Konamix is FAR better than DDRMAX for American PS2.

-Natalie
Who's hoping that someone who owns a PS2 already knows that....

That's extremely sad because konamix was trash. ;) (IMO of course.)

'Playa,

That's cold....too cold.... ;)

A few Denny's commericals and a cameo in a Nelly video don't count.

...and the part of Toby, err, Kunte Kinte will be played by 'Playa

Two left feet with extra toes don't count either, right Phrease?

Hey Colonel - how is Konamix trash? It's basically 4th mix, which is one of the best. I'd rate it after MAX2 as second best. Drop Out, Absolute, Paranoia Rebirth, Matsuri Japan, B4U... what more can you ask for? Except for maybe a rating system that lets you get an A without full-comboing...

Ah, so I'm not the only one noticing the tougher rating scale. I hope the new padded mats I got will improve my playing :).

Based on the songs that will be coming out for DDRMAX USA, I guess I'll hold off for a PS2 when Telephone Operator is released ;).

Isn't Prince from Minneapolis? Or is there some question as to his "blackness?"

Just a dumb question from a dumb whitey.

Prince is black and he is from Minneapolis. What one has to do with the other, beats me.

...and remember, there are no dumb questions, just dumb people.

I already have a 4th mix import. Konamix was trash in my oppinion because it had (virtually) nothing new.

I think he's only a dude Tuesday-Friday.

Kara is such a bastard, because she said I'd have a Playstation by the end of the week, and well, what do you know, I do. How many people buy a PS2 with a PS1 game? How many geeks have all three current generation consoles? Right here...

So any way, Steph and I played the game for two and a half damn hours. At least when we hit CP tomorrow night we won't look like total DDR virgins.

Okay, call me a total idiot but I know nothing about the 'at-home" DDR. Do they have games available on Playstation? I don't have a Playstation but will get one if I can play DDR on it :) Are the DDR games available in the stores or do you have to buy those online? I know you have to buy the good metal DDR pads online......

The reason I ask is when I first discovered DDR (in Ann Arbor at Pinball Pete's) I went directly to the local Toys R Us to buy whatever I had to to do DDR at home and the employee there told me that there was no DDR games for Playstation, X-Box, etc (!)

Jeff has a PS2? What is the world coming to?

All he needs now is TurboGraphix and he'll have the ALL gaming consoles covered.

All those systems, all those wires, probably looks like a concert stage in your living room.

Well you can come over any time and play Freeze, if you don't mind "the man" following you around through Brunswick.

As best I can tell, in the US there are three DDR versions for Playstation: DDR, DDR Disney and DDR Konamix. I bought the Konamix version because people in this topic seem to indicate that's the better one. All are PS1 titles, so if you're on a budget, you can buy a PS1 for cheap. However, DDR Max is supposed to come out at the end of the month, and it's for PS2. I don't understand how people can slam it before it's out, but whatever.

I bought a PS1 specifically for DDR Konamix.

You think you're a nerd, Jeff... I have three systems and all of them are way out-of-date... PS1, N64, Super NES. Not only that, but it's the second time I've bought each one. I sold them one by one during college when I needed funds and always regretted it. ;)

Jeff and Kara, what time will you be in the arcade Saturday? Maybe I can meet you guys for a game.

I'll only be there tonight. I don't think Kara will make it until closing weekend.

Yeah, Jeff. You may be a geek, but you're no nerd. My buddy Dave has a Atari 2600, 5200, and 7800. Nintendo (Tecmo Bowl, primo), Super NES, N64, DreamCube, PS1, 60-inch and 35-inch TVs, two computer, one keyboard, and a table made out of a speaker box. And that's just in his living room. Never a dull moment.

See? That's exactly why my kids have PCs. The obselecence factor is greatly mitigated and I easily make up the cost difference in software.

I don't see anybody buying a PS2 processor for their PSOne, ya know.

Hey Phrease - you think your buddy is a geek - my brother has like 10 systems but they're all the unpopular ones. He has a Turbografx, 3D0, Atari Lynx, Neo-Geo, Sega CD, etc. And he downloads old NES MP3s from the Internet... heh.

Jeff - OK, next year then... maybe you'll be better. ;) btw, you do know that CP's DDR is the absolute worst version available (IMO)?

Turbografx WAS my senior year in high school. I thought to myself, Self, it can't get any better than this.
