DDR bug has hit hard

Interesting. Those all sound familiar. I'll have to check tonight and see what the missing number is so we can compare notes!

It looks like the only ones you absolutely cannot get just by playing over and over are Celebrate, Gentle Stress and Silent Hill. Since everyone's failed a song, I'm sure you have Celebrate. And I think you said earlier that you had failed an Oni course, so you should have Gentle Stress. The only thing left would be to AA a song and get Silent Hill. Does that song ring a bell? Literally, since it's a Christmas song with bells in it. Ha.

Doesn't sound familiar. What do you have to do to hit the extra stage again? I've had AA's many times before. Does it have to be in heavy, and if so, does it matter which stage?

Yes, you have to AA a heavy song, AND it has to be the last song of the game. Whether that's your third song or fifth song or whatever depends on how you've got your options.

If you do it, it says "Extra Stage Unlocked!" and there's the sound of a klaxon or horn. Then you have to play Max 300 1.5x with the arrows scrolling downwards, and it's impossible.

So go home tonight and play Cutie Chaser on Heavy until you get it. That's probably easiest.

Personal "w00t!!1" for me - I passed Exotic Ethnic heavy last night! I had to rest for five minutes afterwards and I got a C, but I did it nonetheless.

That leaves Insertion, Trip Machine Climax, HV:AM, Orion, Rhythm and Police, Electro Tuned, Gradiusic Cyber and Max 300 left to pass on heavy for me on DDRMAX. How's everyone else doing? *bump*

Hrm...we've had Silent Hill listed for months. I assume that my son unlocked it. It's a pretty lame song...my son won't even play it.

DDR TRIP REPORT:

Finally saw someone playing The Legend of Max last night. Sounds cool. This kid got to play it by getting an AA on his last heavy song (it was Super Star). After you die on tLoM, it tells you how long you lasted. For him it was 22 seconds... wow. That's hard.

Passed my fifth cata last night! Tsugaru (finally). Speed Over Beethoven is one of my new favorite songs.

Is this topic dead or what? I think I'm the only one keeping it alive. :)

I managed a C on Cutie Chaser heavy...so far my personal best, and only the second heavy song I've been able to pass.

I saw this kid playing last night... probably was about 12. He was playing mostly standard songs, but a few easy heavy songs. But anytime there were 16th notes, he apparently didn't know what they were, and he just stepped them like 8th notes. He was in "danger" almost every song. Anyway, the point of the story is, whenever each song was finished, he'd whip around really quick and check to see who was watching him. Loser.

So, CPLady, as long as you don't do anything obnoxious like that as you get a "C" on Cutie Chaser heavy, there shouldn't be any smirks. ;)

Oh, btw, if you play Cutie Chaser heavy on DDR Extreme in the arcade, make sure you pick the Morning Mix... the original is much harder. Oh, btw again, the steps for Morning Mix in the arcade are much different from the home version. I don't know why, since every other song is the same, afaik.

Noted... I'm going to Oakland Mall to play Extreme, right when I get off of work around 8 tonight.

"We Will Rock You" Heavy has to be one of the easier and favorite Heavy songs I know of. I'm actually pretty close to AA'ing it, I wonder if I'll pick up Legend of Maxx if I do...

I finally unlocked Silent Hill... by AA'ing Cutie Chaser heavy in doubles! The doubles version is much easier.

I don't remember much about the doubles bonus stage. No human can see it, let alone play it!
