DDR bug has hit hard

You've got to be kidding Chris!! 95lbs. That's insane. Well, not insane but unbelievable. Congratulations too!

I'm kind of stuck around ten pounds lost, because I haven't been playing as much as I should (busy) and I still eat like a moron some days. If I can take another 20 off I'll be at my high school weight (though I'm not sure I wanna be a skinny little thing with a bird chest again).

I've been playing 2-3 times a week, and am on week 2 of Atkins diet. Lost 6 pounds. Hoping to lose another 14 before May.

Except for walking around amusement parks, DDR is the most fun I've had exercising.

Riding coasters is a form of excercise. The problem is that we get off of coasters and whats the first thing we see to eat? Greezy fries, pizza, and hamburgers. Fix that, and we have a weight loss program that will work!

Well I am on Weight Watchers AND DDR and have lost NOW over 14 pounds since Jan 1, and about another 10 before that on Weight Watchers alone. BTW, I keep seeing references to 1 step or two step or three step songs, what does that mean?

Max 2 arrives at Midway Mall

Okay you North East Ohio freaks... I was just up at Midway Mall and our 1st mix was just upgraded to MAX 2. Just thought you might want to know. $.50 for 3.

Dang, here in ATL we just lost our $.50 for 3 MAX 2 machine. Damn inflated mall rent... Luckily, I was not one of the guys stuck with some $30.00 in non-refundable tokens.

Kick the Sky: Have you ever read the book (The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet) I keep ranting and raving about?

I dropped 50 pounds in six months after reading the book and never gained it back. That was 5 years, 6 inches off my 'chest' and 8 inches off my waist ago. I will never, ever ever stray from this diet because I don't want to and frankly, don't have to either.

Playa, is that one of those Atkin's type diets where you can't eat any carbs? I gotta still be able to have my pasta. Its my Italian blood you know ;)

BTW, I am so proud of myself, I finally broke down and started playing the songs on normal and I actually beat one of the two footers with an A!!!

It took me probably 1 hour to 1 hour 1/2 to read everyones submissions and after reading this I decided that I should buy it but would it be better to try it out. I don't particuarly like playing on the computer because it's mainly finger tapping and stratergy and hopping it would be funner on a pad. I have tried the pump game but did not particuarly like it but it was my first time with a dance game but you can't base everything on the first time. So what Im trying to say is should I buy a pad(ignition) and ddrmax without never really experiencing it. One last thing: I was bored and decided to count the times the playstation name and the pslogo come up and I found that it appeared 15 times. Can u find them?

It's coming: RCT 2

Aiight, I lied on the last page about being at the bowling palace today. Bathroom painting took a bit longer than expected. But I will, without question, be there tomorrow, Sunday, for probably around 3 hours after lunch. So.. hope to see a C-buzzer there.

Well that's 95 lbs after a year and a half of playing. Just this past week, I officially went down 5 waist sizes (48 to 38), but I still can't fit in SOB (too tall...lol). Started on Pump, but now play both that and DDR regularly. Even had our newspaper do an interview with me about it (the weight loss)...

http://enquirer.com/editions/2003/01/20/tem_fit20lede.html

The hardest part of the whole thing is getting started. If you can cut back on what you eat and exercise (DDR or not) for two weeks or so, the rest usually takes care of itself. I used to be able to eat half a pizza in one sitting (not like I endorse that, mind you :) ), but now I can barely get through two slices at best before I'm full. It just takes time.

As for buying a home version of DDR without playing it first....I think that's something you really should try before putting in the investment. To get anything back from the rhythm genre, you have to enjoy it somewhat, but going in blind is probably not for the best, IMO.

Oh, and the mysterious third attraction for PKI (well it's Spongebob 3D but this is also good): Updated DDR machines are supposedly on their way.

Happy Sweatin'.

PS... if Magic Mountain @ Brice Rd has a tourney (which I heard is almost a definite), then I'll be up in C-bus for it. If not, then maybe I'll see some of you at the Wright State U. tourney Feb 15th. :)

Kick the Sky, I'm missing my pasta now too, but I figure eating it 3 times a week is WHY I'm on a diet now. Actually, after you spend a couple weeks without the carbs, you find you don't really want them anymore.

Not saying I won't ever eat pasta, breads and potatos again(cheeeeese fries and corn dogs at CP....yum), but they'll be limited. This high protein, low carb diet is the first one I've ever been on where I'm losing weight and NOT hungry.

And I have plenty of energy for playing DDR for two hours at a time.
