DDR bug has hit hard

I enjoy watching people do doubles, but could never do it myself. I just can't process the arrows on the opposite side, or the combo arrows on one pad and the other.

I'm moving up too... I've been experimenting with Standard songs, and been doing so-so. Depends on the song, like I did Nori Nori Nori Standard and got a B, but also did, I think, Trip Machine? Standard and came close to failing.

Yeah, Den, I got better extremely fast compared to my friends thanks to having a musical background. I started playing in May of 2002 and could do most maniacs by late June :) . Having a sense of rhythm in your head helps out a lot with DDR. It also makes it more fun, IMO, to be able to realize that you're moving to the beat of the song along with any sounds in between the beats.

Colonel Sanders: For all your ddr lyric needs, check out www.gamefaqs.com and search for dance dance revolution in the field on the left, then select Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix FAQ's and click on the lyrics link...it's a bit cumbersome to use, but very comprehensive...

Haha! That has to be one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. :) Sadly Michael, half of it's true. ROTF

Like SNL, you know you've "made it" when people start to make fun of you. Good times!

For those of you in northern Ohio here's an update about Midway Mall:

According to the arcade attendant I spoke to recently we will be getting a MAX machine either this month or next. There will be a tournament to welcome the new (and hopefully beautiful) machine. I know I'll be entering (even if I don't do well it'll still be fun) and I'm sure I can con Rob into entering too.

Oh a Max machine eh John? I got one of those 3 months ago ;).

Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!

Hey guys, I have a question. I mesed up one of my mad catz pads really bad and now the down arrow does not work. I am really cheap and i want to know if the red octane pads are worth it. (I MEAN CHEAP) If you could give me an email cause i don't check the buzz that much that would rock. arlok789@comcast.net

Sorry, this is a forum. We're not interested in e-mailing you.

Go for the Cyphergames.com soft pads. They're just a hair more expensive than the Mad Catz, close to the quality of the Red Octanes.

You'll cut-da-rug with the best of them.

Sod off, Brent. Did I mention I'm going to ride X?

Back to the pads Jeff was just talking about. I still continue to recommend them. Just be sure to flip over the foam inside now and then or you'll start losing sensitivity and start gaining phantom hits.

Yeah whatever John, @$$ ;)

-----------------

Michael, even after you flip the foam over for awhile, I'm sure it wears down? Any clue on how long it'd take before you would need to get a new one?

Edit: For some reason there isn't an "add to cart" button on the page. Sold out maybe? I hope not, I was gonna get a pad :(

Haha. Good idea Jeff. Today isn't my best day for "thinking." I'm still trying to figure out that button problem though....

Hey Jeff, I have one word... Lowe's

Blue looks a lot better than orange any day of the week. Of course, I'm partial because I work there, and get a discount on everything that I buy :)

Bah. Blue is my *second* favorite color but orange kicks every other colors you know what. ;) Although I've gone to Lowe's all my life, I have to agree with the color preferance.

Edit: Can off season be really this bad?!?!
