WC448S, Let me remind you that not all people reading these boards are teenagers like yourself, and that some, yes it is true actually know what goes on behind closed doors. The reason they don't prove it is, well they don't feel they have too. They give you insight and if you don't take it - well that's no skin off their nose. I'll let you in on a secret though, they aren't too far off with Falcon.

I've heard the exact opposite. Which shows that we just won't know until the press release comes out.

Mamoosh, yeah it's kind of like cutting the cheese, only it's a tad bit more runny. ;) LOL
Also I think Cedar Point should get a flyer so that the other parks in the chain can get one....we all know that pampered flag ships get the toys first ;)

Excalibur Crew for 2002!
While KBF has a lot of potential, it has to be remembered that it's open year-round. Year-round operation=year round staffing=year round expenses.
So if KBF draws a few more people than CP, CP was far more profitable due to its less expensive, shorter season. And let's not even bring up the extra profits from the resorts and campgrounds, shall we?
Then of course, there was the unfortunate drag it made on CF's bottom line after 9/11. Hopefully, we won't see that happen again.
Of course, the 'little park that could' will always be VF--at least until MA gets their attendance up around 750K or more. It draws 1 million+ attendance every year with an operating season 1-2 months shorter than any of its larger brethen. You gotta wonder what they've been saving up for the last couple seasons...

MiAdventure has been saving up for:
1. A B&M HYPERCOASTER
or
2. A B&M INVERTED

Take it from a Michigan's Adventure fan, our park kicks butt!!!
MichigansAdventureFan,
What are you talking about? You're park just got one of the biggest expansions in its history. Pass whatever you've been smoking because it must be pretty strong stuff.

Excalibur Crew for 2002!
We will most likely get a hyper be fore an B&M invert. But I doubt that it would be an B&M (not htat I would mind if it was). I would like to see a smaller Giovanola hyper twister at Michigans Adventure.
MIA fan, it's always fun to dream, but I want you to remember that the only reason CFLP bought the park is so Six Flags wouldn't. They have already said that they wished they had bought Geauga Lake when they had a chance so that they wouldn't have been any competition locally for CP. So if you think MIA is going to become another Dorney Park or Worlds of Fun, I would say guess again. This park may have gotten a large expansion this year, but that is how CFLP always acts the first year of a park being in the chain. I guarantee that the park will be put on the back burner, and it will be lucky to ever get the hyper. What might bring it is a drastic increase in attendance, so go get all of your friends and the people in your town and county to go.
CPlaya, you are exactly correct with your statement.

I would have to disagree. A chain does not purchase a park and expect it to gain money if the park does not add anything (especially Cedar Fair L.P). You can not have any attendance increase if you don't revamp the parks attractions and add new attractions. Plus Jourden's daughter runs Michignas Adventure and I doubt she would let the park slide on to the back burner to a certain extent. Another thing if you want people from lower Michigan to come to the park more then you need attractions that will bring them there.
One final thought: Jourden's "dream," which I read a article that stated that it was part of the agreement in buying the park, that they would build the 215 tall coaster he planed before the purchase of the park. There was also zoning permits to build a 215 ft. tall atraction.
Closed topic.
