What I think is amusing in all of this is that most everyone thinks this ride will be a coaster. I mean, we all wish it was going to be some grand coaster design that towers over the back of the park, but in reality it will probably be something much different. I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into the coaster idea just yet.
If I remember media day this year correctly, Jeff S. said that the ride was going to be quite an adventure and that we would like it. Now, since he was speaking to a bunch of ACE members, you might be able to pull a coaster reference out of it, but I'm just wondering how many people will seem disappointed here if it's not.
I'm open to anything back there as long as the ride does two things. One, divert enough people out of Action Zone for the time being to give the park a more 'balanced' feel, and two, be able to stand the test of time. What I mean by that is, a rollercoaster seems like a unique experience each time you ride it, unlike a dark ride like Phantom Theater, where the more you ride it the more it fails to impress because you know what's coming. If they can manage to adhere to these two points, I'll be happy no matter what they put in.
