Personally, I belive PKI will be getting a Vekoma-SLC becasue of there recent building of Vekomas(Reptar and Face/Off) But I talked to both the Beast's Lemon Chill vendor and The Son Of Beast ride attendant and they aid there were rumors amoung employees of the tallest coaster in the world. I doubt it, but a boy can hope can't he.
What do ou people think they are building??

Life is short, make it count...
I don't think it will be the tallest coaster in the world because it will have to be steel. I've heard that PKI has some kind of mutual agreement with Cedar Point about building steel and wood coasters. I'm not sure if this is true, but if it isn't, KI could very well be in the process of building the world's tallest coaster.

They sure are getting started mighty early if it is coming out next year... it has gotta be big, or else they would have waited to clear land and make acces roads etc. Most coaster projects start late December-early January unless it is BIG...so lets hope for the best, shall we?

I think if it IS a coaster that it might be the world's longest. Just think about how much advertising they can have with the world's two longest roollercoasters right next to each other. I'm also hoping that it is going to be an Intamin like EGF.

A floorless Or air lunched just a guess.
I am dying for a steel monstrosity to be constructed in that area. What a contrast BEAST and a new "STEEL BEAST" would be. The longest wooden coaster in the world and the longest steel coaster in the world.
It will happen, oh yes, it will happen.

Ahhh, isn't it just wonderful thinking of these things... You here us Paramount, people would love you even more if you gave us a nice big steel hyper or giga...PLEASE!!!!!

I don't see them ever using the "Beast" moniker again. The Beast was a very special creation. It took 20 years for anyone to dare put that name on another thrillride, I wouldn't look for PKI to toss that name around just to complete the family. Besides, seems like cheating to me. I like new ideas.

When will they announce?
-------------
Sit up right, hold on tight!
They'll probably hold out on the announcement as long as possible. Still, it gives us more time to try and figure out what it'll be. More fun for us in the off-season. You dig?

Site update:
It appears that terraforming is underway on the site of the KCKC ride, and there does not appear to be any further activity beyond the back of the KCKC site. At the moment, it appears that the construction zone is a fairly limited space and that they've made a concerted effort to conceal it as much as possible from the midways.

Umm..what is terra-forming?? Anyways, once any kind of track arrives, I should be able to identify it, I am good at those kind of things, as alot of people are. Also, they made last years anouncement of Reptar as being an inverted-family coaster in early July, maybe it will be the same for this one.
Next years is also PKI's 30th anniversary, what a reason to celebrate..with a new and awesome coaster!!!

I'd hope for a hyper...they have enough wooden coasters...(just realized they had a wooden hyper). The last huge steel coaster they got was Vortex so they're way overdue for a coaster. I wouldn't expect a record breaker but maybe a hyper in the 200-230 foot range...maybe by Intamin. A coaster like Expedidition Ge-Force is what Kings Island needs..that ride looks better than MF. A ride like Ge-Force also looks like a ride that is affordable for a park like Kings Island...and even thought it might not be record breaking, it probably would be a top ride, similar to how great Phantom's Revenge is, even though it's not a record breaker.

I really doubt we will see something simaler to X, the prototype hasn't even been completed, and PKI already has the land cleared and acces roads built, so i doubt that. An Intamin Hyper simaler to Expedition Ge-Force would be awesome. King's Island does need a new major steel-looper BADLY ( I am so sick of Vortex's headbanging)

pki-goer,
terraform: To transform (a landscape) on another planet into one having the characteristics of landscapes on Earth.
If you don't know what a word means, use the dictionary. It is a quick and easy reference. There is even one right here so we don't have to leave the comfort of our chairs:

One thing, PKI-Goer, Reptar and Nick Central were anounced in Ferbruary, not last July. From what I`ve heard, an anouncement is supposed to occure before 2002 seson passes go on sale in August.
