PKI already has plenty of dark/out of the rain rides(two motion sim films, FOF, Phantom, train), so IMO, they dont need anything else along those lines at the time. I'm glad that PKI covers most of their queues. And few of them are turn, queue, turn, queue,...so I respect them fot that. One of the few major parks that does this. A hyper and B&M invert would perfect the park.

For one that would be totally stupid for pki to build a dark ride like spiderman due to the fact they have so many theater and simulator films that it would just be wasting money. Also They need a large steel coaster and they know it. Finally the rumor about the 370 110 mph 10,000 foot track was started by the cincy newspaper. I was at pki the day that article came out and on the way home I decided to pick up a paper to see if anything was on themeparks.

Gosh people can't you take a joke. Just laugh and get on with life.
They should make Mother Beast or Wife of Beast
so that SOB and Beastie finally have a mommy, and daddy Beast can have a little somethin' too, if you know what I mean.

"I don't see them ever using the "Beast" moniker again. The Beast was a very special creation. It took 20 years for anyone to dare put that name on another thrillride, I wouldn't look for PKI to toss that name around just to complete the family. Besides, seems like cheating to me. I like new ideas.

As said in the other thread, it may be Mrs Beast!:)

"I sure hope not.
Reason being, it took a hundred million bucks to build Spiderman. PKI could spend, at the most, twenty. And that would be their most expensive ride ever.
As great as Spiderman is, and as much as I would love to have something like it at PKI, it's not feasible. Anything attempted would be second rate due to the nature of seasonal parks and their spending abilities. They just don't have the money of the Disneys and Universals of the world. If you're going to do something like that, you should do it right.
Jacob"
wow. you sure do seem to know everything about PKI's finances. I am impressed. So, are you one of PKI's accountants? That surely must be how you know all about it.

Whats with your attitude!! If you don't like the thread then DON'T POST! Jeez man I thought we were all friends here!!!!
and i know for a fact its not gonna be a dark ride. going to ACE Appreciation Day on april 21st. Jeff Seifert or Seibert i forgot which one, who is the General Manager of the park told around 20 - 30 ACErs that PKI will be getting something big and totally out of this world. And let me tell ya GMs dont lie to ACErs because they love us so much. as most of you know they made a stone for us. so dont expect a cheap dark ride expect a good size coaster which i still believe will be the tallest and longest coaster in the world.
maybe a 2nd 4th dimension? i mean, X seems to be going along smoothly, maybe paramounts waiting on the response of X, thats why nobody knows....and they will probably make their 4th dimension a hyper, it would just be awesome!
It will be a wood inverted standup super-giga. It will be named WIFE OF BEAST.
I heard this from a dude who knows some guy that lives in the woods behind PKI who saw a lady tell a man that a parrot told her about a fortune cookie which claimed that Superman said to his supervisor in 1476 that Shakepeare wrote in one of his plays that MacBeth overheard a conversation about a wood inverted standup super-giga was to be built in PKI in '02. :) This I believe is true.

Jeff Siebert is not the general manager of Paramount`s Kings Island, but a park spokesman. The general manager is Tim Fisher, I think. PKI`s old GM, before Tim Fisher took over in `97 or `98, is now the CEO of Paramount Parks. I hope that they get a new coaster. A new dark ride wouldn`t fit very well with the location. Also, they already have a dark ride in Hanna Barbera Land. I would be ok with a water coaster/ dark ride but would prefer a major coaster, hopefully a B&M! When are they going to anounce????

i read on another board from Yahoo clubs thing that something has already started to form in the woods. maybe he mistaken it for the old KCKC parts but maybe something has started can someone confirm sometime.
I doubt it will be a B&M or a Morgan or arrow Type Coaster, cuase they wouldnt fit in with the Theming of PKI(WOODS FOR AS LONG AS THE EYE CAN SEE) i would guess a Intamin Hyper terrian twister like EGF.

the return of Intaminrocks
If i remember correctly, the spokesman at PKI said the 2002 attraction will be very big and something that ACEers would be very pleased with. Since ACEers are coaster enthusiasts and not dark ride enthusiasts, I imagine that it will definitely be a coaster. Big could mean long or high. Or long and high. Big has been emphasized several times. This I know as a fact. And isn't the first 4th Dimension, X, supposed to be a hyper?

Also why would ACEers be invited to media day next year? I'll definately be at next year's media day, if it's and awesome coaster. Man, the suspense is killing me. (Dies) :)

Sorry, Stephen Reeves, but the guy was making huge assumptions about PKI's finances that were totally not based in any fact whatsoever, and i called him on it. Is it really that big a deal?
Oh, and another thing. No, we are not all friends here. I know maybe 3 or 4 people on this board, personally, and i consider them to be some of the best friends i have. But considering that i haven't even met the rest of you, or know anything about you, no, you are not my friends.
Thanks, pull through to the next window, please.
And to all of you that are giving the dark ride idea a thumbs down:
I assume most of you haven't been on Spiderman, and let me tell you, if PKI built something half as good as Spiderman, it would be the biggest thing to hit Ohio since 1989.

actually biggest thing to hit ohio since last year. Millennium Force is pretty big.
However much money the Paramount company has, they are only going to spend what they can make profits off of on THAT ATTRACTION. They are not going to sink more money into a ride than it will bring in at that park.
I don't care what next year's ride is until it's announced, really. But, if we are on the speculation train, then I guess:
Reverchon spinning mouse themed to Tomb Raider
2-3 times the size of Exterminator combined with 3D set pieces and movies requiring glasses to be worn during the ride. Thus everyone gets what they want in a nice neat package: a rollercoaster/dark ride combo that resides in one building with copious amounts of theming.
(...and I didn't even ask the Lemon Chill guy.)
:)

Listen, man, I made a statement that almost everyone else here agrees with. And it was my
guess. The only other person to comment on what I said did so politely. The people in this post are enjoying the topic. You've come in and contributed such things as:

Worst thread ever. -
This is the studpidest thing I've ever read. -
No, you're not my friends. Pull through to the next window, please. There are alot of 14 year old kids on this board who act like adults. There are also some of 19 year old men on this board who act like kids. I say this not to make you angry, but to urge you to learn how to disagree like a grown-up, not like a kid from South Park.
