I`m just hoping for some type of major coaster next year (hopefully a B&M), since they have built a coaster each year for the past four years!

www.geocities.com/coastersrz I`ve riden Son of Beast 37 times!
1. The reason I was calling this the worst thread ever was that some people here were seriously suggesting that PKI would build a Vekoma SLC. And there were also mentions of a lemon chill guy that i don't think were meant to be ironic. To my surprise, the thread actually turned into a pretty intelligent conversation, in part, thanks to some good and bad comments made by you. I commend you on that
2. On the other hand, you still don't know anything about PKI's spending capabilities.
3. I'm sorry that some people actually consider people on this board they don't even know their friends, and i was merely trying to make that point.
4. I've tried to argue people's points, not the people themselves as much as possible, but it seems as though you think it is fine to argue with me about myself, not the points I am making in this thread. Instead of this becoming really messy, how about you email me at ravenguy98@yahoo.com if you want to argue with me as a person and not my points about coasters, or if you see me on AIM as ravenguy98 go ahead and argue with me there. ;)

"And to all of you that are giving the dark ride idea a thumbs down:
I assume most of you haven't been on Spiderman, and let me tell you, if PKI built something half as good as Spiderman, it would be the biggest thing to hit Ohio since 1989.
Actually, I have been on Spiderman. It was a good ride, but not nearly as good as the Hulk or Dueling Dragons. That being said, PKI would be much better off building a coaster than a dark ride for one reason: Capacity. PKI has some problems with this already, and a nice B&M would be a great solution to this problem. I waited almost an hour for Spiderman at IOA, while both coasters were about 10 minute waits.
Hope Floorless or Hyper coaster of course B&M.
PKI has capacity problems?

It's not really much of a problem, but they do have some coasters with pretty bad capacity (Face/Off, FoF, King Cobra)
I'd say the problem lies more in where the crowded areas are. I think ANY new attraction for Rivertown would help the lopsided nature of the park. Sure, a B&M would help a little more, but I'm sure that whatever they put there is going to move some people to the back of the park.

Man, next years gonna be AWESOME aT PKI. A hyper, a CCI woodie, an SLC iverted, a 4-D Wildmouse, an SS Thrust Air, and their names will be Mother of Beast, Sister of Beast, Cousin of Beast, Grandma of Beast, and, most importantly, 2nd cousin twice removed mother's great great uncle's poodle's roomate's 3rd Grade teachers sister in law... of Beast. Woo hoo!

That, sir, is the correct answer.

Yes, I would agree that the Paramount Action Zone has capacity problems because that is where the three newest thrill rides are located at. It doesn`6t help that there is only one exit from the action Zone. Hopefully whatever they add in Rivertown will help pull some of the crowds out of the action zone and make the capacity less of an issue.
Jeff...is this some sort of record...91 posts..the most I've ever seen!! hehe

Life is short, make it count...
lol, record. there are definitely a lot of people in the action zone section of the park with 4 coasters in that area i wouldnt mind being in that section for a while. but a definite B&M that is nicely advertised with move the crowds far back but the bad thing is Beast's line will be pretty long then which is a bummer but a new coaster over longer lines is good for me
PKI made over 5 addition/improvements that were major so far in th 2001 season and guess what, none were in Action Zone. PKI is smarted than you think. I do think Drop Zone or Face/Off should have been in Coney Mall though. It was a bad idea to put 3 major attractions in a row, right up front in then still one of the busiest places in the park. But the three big attractions in Action Zone are a good idea though.
I've heard that the new attraction in Rivertown will be very satisfying all around. 1)Whether you start or end in Action Zone or Rivertown, your day will begin and end with a bang. 2)Capacity 3)Have a big wow factor 4)Spread crowds 5)30th Anniversary 5)Please coaster freaks! :) This is what I've heard from someone "in the know". I don't know, but if I did, I wouldn't tell. I've had to bite my tongue before aand I'll do it again. My brain would probobly burst with anticipation and having the thought stuck inside me with no way to get out.
About Spiderman aka Most Overrated Ride Ever. I don't think it would be a hit like the one in Florida. I liked it, but it was... disappointing and I'll only ride again if the line is short or I have extra time. It wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I think I liked Cat in the Hat better. A ride like that would be great in a few years for Hanna Barbara with a Haunted House theme like the one at PCw. I think that would be a good idea.
I hope PKI has two main priorities know. 1)B&M/Intamin hyper/giga 2)B&M invert(bigger than TG and VTBC). They need about 2 or 3 flat rides next year. I would put a really thrilling one in Action Zone and one or two scary alien themed ones back by Flight of Fear. Better yet! Move those damn pay attractions and put them there!

Actually, I think the "Gay" thread has the record. Like 113 or something.

If Millennium Force doesn't go upside-down, then how could Mantis?
There was one, I think called "PKI Construction" which had about 130.

ZEPPELIN RULES
I was under the impression that the whole dropzone/faceoff/SonofBeast thing was an expansion to the park, simlar to the SWT @ SFGAm with Viper, Giant Drop and Raging Bull. It just works a little better with SFGAm becuase of the area has two ways in/out.
Anyway, I cant say I like the thought of a hyper coaster back there by the Beast. For some reason, I'm not impressed by having a steel coaster like that in the woods. Part of the allure of a hypercoaster, to me, is seeing this massive structure just standing there looking very forboding. Having that surrounded by trees kinda takes away from that. Even Steel Phantom (I mean Phantom's Revenge :)) at least has its first drop over the midway.
On the other hand, an inverted coaster would be just fine back there. As long as it doesnt suffer from the thrill....*pause*...thrill...*pause*...thrill pacing of Raptor or Ice, it would be a great thing to have there. Even though PKI certainly has more than enough foot swinging coasters!
Last thing, Spiderman deserves every like of praise it gets....from an engineering standpoint. It truely is a technical marvel and a fantastic ride. However personally, I'd rather be over in USF riding Men in Black: Alien Attack. Now that's fun!
