Cool. Finally some more insight as to where the tunnels will be. Is that first bunny hop after the bridge return enclosed? *** Edited 10/31/2007 4:29:20 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Here are some new photos of the first hill (almost at top off). Also the station is starting to go up and there may be a pro-video of the ride coming in the next month or so. http://www.flickr.com/photos/17342644@N08/?saved=1

The only thing that saddens me with this photo update is that they officially tore down the old Ravine Pavilion, aka, the old Ravine Flyer station. Oh well, it opens the area up to a world class wooden coaster :).

No the old one is still up, they just took away a bunch of the picnic tables around there.

I thought the Lakeview Pavilion was right behind Wipeout, but then again its been years since I actually was in/used Lakeview to even remember. Good to know it's still there and they didn't remove history.

When we were there back in June the construction zone was marked off just outside of the Lakeview Pavilion, not sure if they expanded it yet though. I have pictures but Snapfish stinks and can't link to them.

I just checked the RF2 page and at the bottom was a link to another page with more pictures. That link would be HERE.

The new shots are at the bottom and include some beginning progress on the lift hill as well as one shot of the beginnings of a station right behind Wipeout, but the angle does not show the current status of the Lakeview Pavilion.

Tom

Edited to add info about the pics.

He didn't say he got shots from inside the park. As seen on the site Scotsman links to you can clearly see the lift being built from outside the park.

Lakeview pavillion isn't going anywhere. Its at least

15ft away from the upturn. What piques my curiosity

is where the L Ruth will run under the Flyer. I don't see a cut out for it yet under the lift.

Three of them are from inside the park. One of them

is taken from the ferris wheel exit ramp. And yes I'm jealous....

It would have been cool if the old station could have been incorporated into the design for the new coaster, but I suppose that would be impossible since new coasters are built 20 to 30 feet above the ground nowadays. Maybe it'll become part of the queue?

I have to say they have built a substantial amount of this coaster already, it wasnt even really started, besides maybe the clearing of the area when i was there in june. Considering how the weather is in erie and eastern ohio during the winter, they should actually be looking good to have it open when the park opens.

The Gravity Group has updated their website, I haven't checked yet but on Hades and Voyage they had great pics from angles someone with access could get.
