Edit: I feel the same way about LR, Rob. It's just plain fun. The dueling/racing trains really add to the ride and both trains are almost always together and when they split off it's only briefly unlike other "similar" rides. It makes for great visuals. Take that apsect away and you still have an above average coaster. *** Edited 9/12/2006 1:12:50 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Long live the Big Bad Wolf
Yes, LR is better than all of them. Only KW's Racer even manages to make it a fight. And yes, I have had "the good rides" on Thunder Road, and just this year AE was running better than I've ever experienced. But racing coasters are about the racing, the interactivity, AND not least of all, the RIDE. Lightning Racer manages to accomplish all three like nothing else has in my experience.
Which, again, is why I've decided to begin the campaign EARLY for..."Booardwalk Project '08"... :)

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, if you wanna talk about woodies or hypers, PLEASE talk about it on a different board. Someone said to me that the announcement will be coming "VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SOON!"
So...
OK....deleting Coasterbuzz.com account....starting account at another site.....bye everyone! It's been fun!
Oh before I go, you're right!!! I called the Valleyfair PR lady, and she said that the announcement will be coming "VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SOON!" Exact words!!! *** Edited 9/12/2006 11:31:28 PM UTC by Peabody***
But,I went to Valleyfair! over the weekend because I got my permit and wanted to drive. They have a construction fence up and a lot of new markings.
To be fair, if any park with a Morgan would at least let the sucker RUN through the ending sequence of bunny-hops...they'd get my enduring praise...any takers? ;)
The GCII, as I see it, will likely get "mixed" reviews by enthusiasts. The airtime on their rides is *lateral-filled*, as hills are normally crested during a change of direction. To alot of people, that means it isn't "true airtime". Of course, that's about as debatable as "What IS a coaster?" ;)
*Twister* coasters... :)
