Valleyfair getting a new coaster or not???

Thunderhawk - Dorneypark Woodie

Thunderhawk - WOF's Huss TopSpin

Thunderhawk - GL's Vekoma SLC

Or maybe they'll use some original name like Goliath or Batman!?!?
Maybe they will call it hercules:) even though renegade has a nice ring
Renegade has a very very very very very very nice ring to it.
Are they going to get it finished in time for the paek summer season? A woodie takes a long time to build and an 11 month project it won't be finished until August if it takes that long to build!

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!

What about "Grizzly" or something containing "Beast"? After all, they did just acquire a certain park chain.

Dental Plan! Lisa Needs Braces.

3rd Cousin of Beast, perhaps? ;)

Seeing how it's all but confirmed that VF is getting the GCII, is anyone else as shocked as I am? Of all the coasters that they could get this was the last one I saw coming. Given Cedar Fair's recent patterns I would have bet money that VF was going to get a B&M invert or floorless. I even would not have been too surprised had it been any other kind of steel coaster. But a woodie? If I remember right, Ghostrider was already in the works when CF took over Knott's, so unless I'm missing one, Mean Streak in '91 was the last new wooden coaster that they ordered. Wow!

Don't get me wrong though -- I'm as excited about the GCII as anyone. I'm actually even more excited to see what the future holds should this one be a hit. I have a visions of something like Lightning Racer over by the beach at CP.... (hey, I can dream, can't I :))

Just remember, when "Boardwalk project '08" does come to fruition....I guessed it first... ;)

The Boardwalk Project has been talked about for YEARS. But unless things change, I can't see it happening for 2008.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Things HAVE changed, Linda....CF is building a (gasp!) wooden coaster at VF. And CP itself got a non-record-breaker...

Man, I sure hope you're right...(but the year after a $21M investment seems too early to me, too.)

The "off-years" at CP, Skyhawk, Maxxair, those years have run....fairly expensive as well.

Plus, I think CF may have learned a little something about GCIIs and maintenance needs...something that plays HEAVILY in favor of such a possibility.

I know NOTHING...some would say even less than that. But *wow* do I enjoy guessing.. :)

Well, I do hope your guess is, um, *better* than mine. ;)

So, what about this announcement being "very very very very very soon" now, huh? :)

Hercules! I like that. Herculese The Revenge. ;)

Long live the Big Bad Wolf

We are now down to VERY SOON!!!

Hercules is still trademarked as is Orient Express. ;)

It would be ironic if CF came out with 2 new Mavericks in the same year.
Yet not unheard of.
Is there any significance to OE still being trade marked?

Nope, I just checked.
