Valleyfair getting a new coaster or not???

When my best friend & I were at VF about 1 1/2 months ago we were stuck on the top of the lifthill in seat 1-3 (third seat) but our wait at the top paid off with a COMPLETELY brakeless ride filled with great airtime! :) The BEST ride ever on Wild Thing!!!

If you are lucky to get a trim-free ride it is a great hyper, however if the trims are on hard like normal, then it is a "ho-hum" ride.

I was at that Coaster Craze 3 years ago. Enough of us talked God into turning off that return trim on WT...and it was GOOD! It ran like that for most of the night ERT.

Reminded me of 1990's all over again. Without the noisy lift.

But from what I've been told (and have seen) is that they use that mid run trim so the trains don't have to come to a complete stop at the end run before the station. It is a hard stop otherwise, but I would prefer it that way.

Also, WT doesn't have the extra run off length that crosses over the lift track like Mamba does. That was another excuse given for the heavy trims.

Whatever.

Is it a CF policy for the trims being used so much on all of the VF coasters or is it the VF park manager's?

They only had the brakes completely off for one ride on my train and I heard the other train had 2-3 that night. When those rides happened the train would slam into the brakes so hard the computer would freeze up and they would have to reset it. At least that was the explanation I was given. We did sit on the brake run for a long time after that ride but it was totally worth it. In fact, investing in new brakes and computers or whatever it takes to make those rides possible would be preferable to me than the investments the park has been making recently. *** Edited 9/14/2006 2:18:42 AM UTC by RavenTTD***

Being that it is now later, it has to be sooner. We all know that sooner is better than later and that means the real announcement time is better than now since now is later than earlier and the announcement is indeed sooner now.

Danget, I was wrong. Wont be getting info from that source anymore haha. I guess I'll just go with screamscape with an announcement by tomorrow.

Well supposedly, the name of the coaster is Renegade.

I'm not sure you should go by Screamscape either. There is a chance they know, but there is a 50/50 shot they just got an email from someone who saw your post Wild Thing91, or a similar post on another board.
