True enough, but does it actually have a flume section like most 'water coasters' have had? Or does it just skim the water and spray you with mist? What I wouldn't give for a nice POV of Atlantis. :)

It's just with Aqua in the name, I guess I'd always assumed Atlantis actually had more interaction with the water than Sheikra, Raven and S:RoS combined. ;)

Hmmm, I forgot about them. You might be right with this Aquatrax idea, though isn't it an old concept?

As wet as the park wants riders to get.

That looks like a storage/transfer track. The hole with the silver ring is where the little safety nub gets inserted to make sure the track is aligned before the trains are allowed to roll.

Everyone keeps thinking there are two tracks it could simply be an out-and-back type style, just with more turns than a traditional out-and-back. Who knows though figured I throw the idea out.

Could this be the longest fastest wettest dueling coaster in the world anyone? ;)

It's a standard feature on most coasters. This is where they attach sensors. If there was a chain lift, the track would look similar to this:

(Yes, that is a cable lift, but the chain lift would be centrally located and wide enough to accomodate a chain and all that weight.)

Maybe even a launched AquaTrax with skinnier cars . That'd be cool.

I am still clueless on why they started so early. If it's for an aqua trax I would understand but only if theming is going to be involved. There has to be something that we aren't seeing... well atleast not yet.

To get as much done as possible before winter?

It could be as simple as taking advantage of it's location (on Perimeter Road) by constructing P07 during the summer. It could be as complicated as enclosing the coaster in a building.

Me? I'm going with the numero uno. Why deal with a dilapidated ride one more season only to be forced to work during the winter. Maybe this one can open up next summer without any problems. ;)

I think the only possibility for lengthy indoor sections at this point is if the buildings are elsewhere in the park, which I doubt, although I guess the antique car site could be a possibility. If that is the case, this ride is going to be absolutely *massive* in scope considering how large the construction area already is. I just don't see it happening. There's just no indication of large buildings where they are currently working and I can't fathom putting up this many supports and doing this much ground work before any work at all started for the indoor sections.
