It's just with Aqua in the name, I guess I'd always assumed Atlantis actually had more interaction with the water than Sheikra, Raven and S:RoS combined. ;)

It's a standard feature on most coasters. This is where they attach sensors. If there was a chain lift, the track would look similar to this:

(Yes, that is a cable lift, but the chain lift would be centrally located and wide enough to accomodate a chain and all that weight.)
