Cedar Point '07 Project

Alright everyone. Just got a phone call and figured I'd shoot this post out to everyone to chat about. Here in Sandusky, next to Breakers Express, CP Has put in a new fenced in area. With construction planned on continuing year round on the '07 project, this will for sure tell what it could be. In that fenced in area, Red Intimin Track arived on 5/4/06. Right now it's about 1045am, and i got the call around 1030. if ya want go check it out or anything like that, I haven't seen it with my own eyes, but take my call seriously as the dude still works there and was on his way back from getting his check or something like that. Hopee you all enjoy this news. Guess they are red curved peices.

Hmmm, I see no reason to believe that CP would be getting another Intamin. With TTD, MF, and WT what else is there for the park to get from the company? It also doesn't seem that they would get track delivery this early in the year either.

Example: SFGAdv didn't start getting El Toro track until August.

I see no reason to believe this report unless there is better evidence.

Or, what the person spotted was mistaken for Intamin track.

Intamin makes a watercoaster called the Aquatrax. I'm not sure how keen I am on a red coaster in Frontier Town but...for what it is worth.

Hmm, might be on track to something.. ;)

Well everyone *know* that Cedar Point has a four coaster contract with Intamin! ;)

But...if pics show up, let me get this out of the way....I'm not usually a boastful person, but I invite you all to search WAY back and see who quitely suggested an Aquatrax a LONG time ago...I think one other person did as well, but I forget who they were. Why am I being an arrogant bastard? Well, I'm not often right about anything....you can ask my wife ;)

Assuming it is an Intamin, there are only 2 roller coasters on Intamins website that CP doesn't have in that specific category. But I don't see CP getting either of them. It's the spiral coaster and the twist and turn - free spinning coaster. (I don't count the reverse freefall) I think an aquatrax is the best guess as far as replacing the water ride and the red track will match Skyhawk nicely. Wonder if they plan to re-theme the area?

Well, they don't yet have an Intamin mega-looper...*wink wink*

If it is an aquatrax coaster, how do you cp would theme it? We all know about the theming attempts at cp.

BTW, The ride on the Intamin site is Atlantis Adventure, at Lotte World, in Seoul, South Korea.

What other parks have a "aquatrax coaster"?

The one at Lotte World in South Korea is the ONLY aquatrax coaster.

Whatever it is, it is now covered with the mysterious "blue tarp".

But even more important, Cedar Villa, the awesome Italian restuarant that closed at the beginning of the year and was put up for sale, now has a "re-open soon" sign out front!
