As for the reason construction has started so early, rumors strongly suggest that some of the ride will be constructed on currently operating rides - Wave Swinger and the Car ride to be exact - so it could be that they are getting as much done as possible now, so they can focus on moving other rides out of the way during the Winter and off-season.
I'll make an early prediction in saying that P07 will take the record for being the world's longest coaster (Sorry SD200)! Has anyone said anything lately about the possibility of P07 running onto MF Island, Or has that idea been dropped?
All in all, I think CP is doing a great job keeping the public in suspense. I just wish the track was either orange or yellow. Oh well, come next year I'll still be there to ride it.
The clues "2+2", "A whole new direction", and "Sidewindin" make sense to fit several types of Intamin rides. The whole part about a reverser coaster seems fun, but I don't think we will be seeing it here. I can't wait to see this monster develop and grow!
I'm sticking on dueling 'something', not too fast as its triangular track (60mph max), that is unless we are only seeing the end being built at present? Anyone seen any square speed track sections? *** Edited 8/4/2006 8:26:23 AM UTC by ruggerbuggeruk***
Um, Aquatrax folks, care to explain how that bulky, non-OTSR restraint, rather inflexible looking train is going to navigate this:

There's too much track that's way too twisted for me to believe that it's not an inversions-monster coaster.

I'm clueless why so many people think early construction is so unusual. Look at the first few pics of Hydra on rcdb.com. Footers poured, supports up, track at the construction site. The date on those photos? August 4.
I know it seems to be a trend lately to start construction late and open rides a couple of weeks or even months in to the season, but I think CF does a great job of having rides ready to go opening day.

Um, ok.
OTSRs - So we have one existing aquatrax coaster and it doesn't have OTSRs, therefore they can never have them. That seems to be your logic. Yet, Intamin seems to have had no problem integrating them on their rockets and chute rides, where necessary (or not).
Sure the current boats would need lots of modifying to add OTSRs, but why wouldn't they do it if they were asked?
Bulky, inflexible trains & twisty track -
Take a look at the picture of the Aquatrax here:
http://www.intaminworldwide.com/i_products_water.htm
There sure seems to be plenty of clearance for the wheel assembly to navigate tightly twisting track without a problem.
I know this doesn't prove or disprove anything, but neither does your theory. Besides, who says an Aquatrax couldn't invert?

I believe I read over at pointbuzz that plans have been made.

I have been staring at this new photo in awe for about an hour. I want to know your comments on this... It screams BIG to me; Maybe launch, maybe racing/dueling. The banked turn near the ground is going to be a real arm-chopper. All I can say is "Bring it on CP!"http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4679[/quote]
Just looking at the height of the supports in this pic, I am wondering about a station fly-by. Compare it to Dollywoods coaster.
Is it safe to say that we are all mega fans of CP here????
