The main reason for bumping this was to get Mr. Fetterman back here to post more cool stuff for us to read. Looks like that hasn't worked... Yet ;)
Anyway I snapped off some pictures and threw them together

The pictures really don’t do this thing justice. It looked as though all the black and white photographs I’ve seen of previous turns came to life. I don’t know what’s more impressive; the old school construction method of just bending wood, or the crazy turns where it looks like the train will be tilted 90 degrees just feet of the ground. Another nice (but odd) thing is they have a path which pretty much runs through the construction site so you can be within feet of the ride as it’s being built. Almost feels like one of those backyard coaster projects (well it technically it’s in someone’s backyard. :))
BTW Knoebels did an amazing job cleaning up after the flood. The grounds were completely dry and free of mud and debris. Only the pool was closed (looked like they were ready to fill) and 2-3 kiddy rides. To the casual observer you couldn’t even tell there was a flood a few days before besides the 100’s of pictures they have around the park of it...
