On the hottest of hot summer days, a good DRENCHING isn't necessarily bad. But when a Floridian leaves the 90* temps to go to Pittsburgh where it's in the 70s...he doesn't want to get SOAKED. A tad wet, drizzled upon, sure....but bucketsful of water, nah...;)

ALL water effects, be they rapids rides, flumes, S-T-Cs, misting fans, Top Spins, etc.,etc....should be "weather-dependent", and HIGHLY adjustable.... :)

What? On a PTC, if the lap bar hits your gut, you can have a lot of room to float under it. If you are thin you will get pinned to your seat.

You'll still get much the same weightless experience...but Fat Guy Float has nothing on Skinny Guy Sailing, much less a good 'Clops Yank-to-Standing. That's what I'm talkin bout...

I get stood up hard on the Clops...Hades too. Go pack on 50 lbs, ride Shivering Timbers at night, and then get back to me.

Although I think that Phoenix might be a skinny guy's ride.

The person I think will survive is the older woman who's favorite band is 50 cent. Shes gotta be tough. :)

Playa 1.0 was 70 pounds heavier. They're more fun thin. I'd know.

AM Update: 21 of the 36 contestants are now gone. My #20 has bailed (wussy) cuz she misses her kids.

Apparently, the nearby horse track/card house rates Brittany Hagan (contestant #28, no photo or bio) as a 3-2 favorite to win.

No photo, no bio? Sounds like a ringer to me. You'd hope they put something up before the contest is over. That would just bite to have blank circle with a red X over it.

That #7 guy has that "serious/determined/I've got nowhere else to be anyway" look about him. There, I just jinxed him.

Who in the heck misses their kids after a few days away from them? Heck, most moms I know would kill for a few (or more) days away from their kids. They'd be stretching the contest out as long as they could. Instead, two moms bailed from this contest because they...sob...missed their kids.

Cry me a freakin river.

On another note, my item would have been a motion sickness patch. They last three to four days and work like a charm. No upchuck guarantee!
