Survive It and Drive It II!!!!

Personally, I think the kid missers are liers and they are really getting off because they can't hack it, but they want to give a "noble reason" for quitting.
#30 just bailed - she's catching a cold and decided after 338 laps that it just wasn't fun anymore

#28 has a pic and bio online now.

Her favorite artist is Baby Spice? Now that's what I call high nausea tolerance...hell, I'd say she likes it!

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Stopped out last night and caught the final ride of the evening on WT. Most of the contestants appeared to be in pretty good spirits, total of 14 left when they were escorted off when I was leaving at 8:15. Number 24 did not look happy or well, I'd say she will be next to go.

Do the contestants ride at all when the park is closed to the public? And are the rules for the contest posted anywhere? I'm curious as to the number of breaks they get and just how far they are allowed to stray from the coaster/park. I'll probably stop out again tonight to see how they are doing.

Mark

Hmmm. I'd bet they're much the same as last year's...
#31 just dropped out - low blood pressure after 377 laps at 2:40pm

--George H

The exit reasons are getting more and more needlessly dramatic...

Most hypotension is postural in nature (i.e. dizzyness when standing up after sitting a while) and hardly a serious medical condition.

If you can't hack it, just say 'uncle.' Plenty more people are gonna do it. At this pace, when is someone gonna complain about their limbs falling off?

Once they begin launching at 61mph? ;)
Seems like the next casualty is going to be the website itself. Down to one or two pictures a day-- just feels like they're bored with the whole thing themselves-- Geez, you'd think they'd show some excitement and do more than occasionally put an X over someone's pic. The whole site is pretty uninformative.

Props to #35, the dude who said if stranded on a desert island he'd take Wesley Willis.
What they should do is put annoying people on board the train. Imangine having to sit next to Gilbert Godfrey or David Lee Roth for an entire day! Worse yet, Moosh! :)

I know where to find you, Dan! ;)

The rules and release form!

Thanks Jerry. Tonight they were down to 11, the guy in the front car had the "time to make the donuts" look on his face, I'd say he'll be outta there soon. Everyone had wind and mild sun burn but most looked happy, or more likely pretending they are.

Interesting the rules make no mention of the amount of time the contestants are actually riding the coaster. From what I can tell their ride time is limited to normal park hours which is too bad. They could obviously get it done and over with much faster if it ran day and night.

As it stands the contest seems less about the ability to marathon on a coaster and more about how much BS the contestants can put up with. On the way home I tried listening to KDWB, the station truly is all about torture!

Mark

I think some people aren't ment to ride roller coasters if they get sick after 7 rides. They shouldn't even have been picked for that.

i'm not sure what to put here..

I like how the radio station can chage the rules at anytime. hey lets play choose a winner yay!
That's what they did last year. The last two contestants played one game of rock paper scissors and then they gave them both a car.
#9 gone at 8:45am today after 472 laps - she's running a marathon on Saturday

--George H

No fair! I picked her not knowing her schedule. If she can run a fricken marathon she could have won survive it and drive it.

Flyin monkey - What's the radio station to do should the coaster have mechanical issues....they have to have *some leeway* as to how to handle some unforeseeable circumstances...
