I like SOB with the exception of the ROSE BOWL. The speed you get on the first drop is amazing. Then you realize that woodies don't go this fast for a reason. The loop is fun and the section after the loop is fun, but that Rose Bowl really hurt me and that is why I will ride it only once a year. Granted we only visit PKI once a year, but it only warrants one ride. Papa Beast on the other hand I can ride it several times during the day.

But can you *imagine* what kind of airtime you'd generate at those speeds if Sonny had a few "speed bumps" on an outbound run instead of going directly into the most ill-advised helix ON THE PLANET? ;) The savings on maintenance (and riders' spines) would more than outweigh the *cost* of using a LOT of land on an O-n-B layout. Specifically the Rose Bowl itself was the bad investment....and its namesake sits idle in SoCal...must be a jinx or something...;)
