Roadrunner Express, Villain, Batman Knight Flight, Superman Ultimate Escape. Not that they were neccessarily bad individually, but all in one year is a really bad investment.Z-Force/Z-Force/Flashback. It sucked to begin with why relocate it and then have it SBNO for such a long time?
Maybe u can join Beast Tamer as well in the bashing round...they were not a bad investment because its improved the parks future perfomance as a whole, and your one to speak, so lets move on....or the residential smarta**'s will get u on this post! ;) *** Edited 4/13/2005 3:24:09 AM UTC by DC2Beltz3***
Yet I will hold out on my final opinion till I ride it. That is just my current judgement based on pics, video, and other rides and theming that I have experienced.
Go ahead smartass, get me ;)
You need a crystal ball to know if either is true FOR SURE before you ride it. Rides that people were sure would suck have turned out to be excellent and rides that people were sure would be excellent have turned out to be duds.
Once you've ridden IJ you can base your opinion on experience. Then if you still think it sucks that's your right to have such an opinion. Of course then you'll have to contend with the IJ fans who think otherwise.
I think IJ looks lame.
LOOKS lame. Key word: LOOKS.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
For the cost they have invested, They could have two S:ROS's

Another bad choice I think was Scream because it doesn't look like it stacks up to the other coasters at SFMM and sure it's looks like a good ride,
But they got a reliable people eater. Seeing as their last two investments (X and DV) have issues with both, I think Scream was the best thing they could have done. They needed something that would run reliably and a ride that could really move the people through the qeue.
What could they have put in that was better (other than a non-cloned floorless) that they didn't already have? A flyer wouldn't help with capacity and wouldn't stand up to X for thrills, so that's out. A mouse or spinning coaster? If you think Scream doesn't LOOK like it stacks up with the other coasters then this one is ruled out. A decent launched coaster could have worked, but from hints people have been dropping they are saving that one for later. So there wasn't that many options to meet their needs at that time. I think it was a GREAT decision.
Now I have been hearing things about Scream being rough, for a B&M, but that doesn't diminish the decision to build it. That only shows that SFMM can't even keep a B&M smooth. ;)
Again, folks..."worst" does not equal "this coaster I hate so much."
Frankly I don't see how anyone can find a worse investment than Windjammer.
edit- spelling [UGH!]

I personally think that Hypersonic (and I've yet to ride, so I don't hate it or anything) wasn't the best investment in the park because it had bad reliability and had to have major work done to the trains, and it's capacity sucks.
Check that *other* thread (the hard-to-enjoy woodie)...now THAT is expensive, and ongoing...;)

Oh yeah? How about this one?

At least Windjammer ran (sometimes). Although it is a great example in this conversation.
I think that a couple of the old Summers-Dinn woodies can get a nod in this category due to the extensive maintenance needed to keep these things rideable. As well as an extremely notorious one in southern Ohio. And I don't even hate it that much. I just don't get why people like it as much as they do. But I bet if you showed the PKI execs the maintenance costs and ridership numbers for SOB in just it's few years of existance, they wouldn't have built it.

I would have to agree with crazy horse, Son of Beast is one of the worst rides I have ridden. I think Kings Island could have done a lot better with the design and choice of rolling stock for the ride. That ride puts me in tears. *** Edited 4/13/2005 5:09:31 AM UTC by DisasterAmy63***
