I stumbled upon their web site and saw that they had quite a collection of videos.My question is does anyone know if they are a quality video?

I own the box set and all the cedar point ones. There pretty cool but when you read what rides on on the show, some are just glimpses. If you like coasters but it.

When I got a video it had a Joe Schwatrz picture, a Duane Marden picture, and a coastergallery picture all on the box cover WITHOUT permission.

That says enough to me. I can't say any more about what happened after that :)

In additon to the lack of respect for others property, I have to wonder about the quality of printed materials made with pics found on the web.

Excellent luck on finding your (or Joel's) pic being used. Finding them is the hard part - retribution is easy :)

Has anyone heard about the DVD quality?

The dvd quality is ok. But rather dry and boring compared to what Rob Alvey used to produce until he got into some trouble for things he did that were rather questionable.

This looks like a good video. And I had no idea it was even available on DVD! These two (1 2) as well.

Isn't that the same video that Cedar Point sells in their gift shops Walt? If it is then the movie can't be that bad.

That is the best one. It has onride point of views of all the major coasters. The point of views start at the station and go through the entire ride. Yes they do sell that at cedar point

Sorry - I should have made my sarcasm more apparent. My point was that these aren't available on DVD and it appears they might be selling something that they shouldn't be selling.

Walt....you got mail re: that video...check the account you registered with Cbuzz please. Have some "enlightening" info for you! :)

I bought their "Front Row Thrills" DVD, and for the most part its ok...but....

Several of the rides have no sound to them.

Some of the rides are shot with a hand-held camera by a person in the front seat, and as a result the footage is terrible - the camera wanders all over the place, as is to be expected.

There is no playlist/chapterlist at all, so you cannot quickly skip to a particular ride.

Would I send it back? No. But I won't be buying another one either. And I can't seem to get them to stop sending me offers for more videos either, despite several attempts...eventually had to put them on my "blocked senders" list.

Just my 2c.

How did you like the pictures on the box without permission/compensation from several well known websites? You want to know the best part....you can see my smudged out copyright notice on one!

Well I thought it was pretty clear that it was a "home" operation, but as of my typing this, I couldn't find any notice that the DVD's are burned (not all burned DVD's are compatible with all players).

Nevermind that I'm getting a cheeseball sticker label, or that I'm getting a cover inlay made on a inkjet from pics lifted from sites on the web.

Send them a cease and desist letter. CC Cedar Point's marketing and merchandise departments. Even if you can't afford to sue them, I can assure you that the Cedar Fair lawyers will jump all over them.

I'm keeping the legal stuff off the boards. :) I suspect they will be hearing from several lawyers soon, some more pricey than I could ever afford!

Newbie here on the board, but I just purchased the Front Row POV DVD. It does appear to be a home operation, especially with the pain in the ass Pay Pal option.
When I get the DVD, I will report back to you all.
