I think that is sacrilege to not go to WOF when you are in KC. And yes CC will only get better.

OT: what were you doing in KC?

Hey Guys! I got back from the Grand Opening of Celebration City last night! Here's a quick park report: Ozark Wildcat is still a lot better in the front (not that the back is bad), Jackrabbit is open, and those turns are hella-tight, Thunderbolt is working as well, though it had its usual breakdown every once in a while, Accelorator is is top shape, same with Fireball... and last but not least, CELEBRATE! the nightly multi-media production was absolutely amazing! Definately worth the 4 million dollars the park spent on it. The water screen technology is amazing. I stayed til park closed (11) and it was my first time to see the park at night. One thing to remember when going to Celebration City, it used to be that crappy dump they called Branson USA, and they completely transformed that property in just about a year. Next year they will be adding rides (flats I think) and a few more shops and sit-down restaurants. (Mickeys Pizza is really good)

Yes, that is correct. More "flats" and a sit down restaurant. There is also talk about building another "venue" so that they can have another place for shows.

So did they keep anything from Branson USA, or did they just raze the place and build from scratch?

A couple of rides from Branson USA were kept. KMG Afterburner (named Fireball), Scrambler, Tilt A Whirl, etc. Some of the old Branson USA/Mutton Hollow buildings also kept and redone for Celbration City.

I hear maybe even more than one sit down resto and yes some flats... then whatever they choose to build from the attractions survey?

I want to know why they sold the Paratrooper. I love P-troopers and I never got to ride the one at BUSA (not to mention that there are very few park models around the area). I mean, they kept the crappy log ride and sold the Trooper!?! What were they thinking??

Am I really that shy?
