Celebration City is Open

As many of you may know, Celebration City, Branson, Missouri's newest theme park opened today, May 1st. Hopefully this will become the new "official" thread for Celebration City as I knew quite a few people might want to know a little bit more about it. Celebration City is home to the world-class wodden coaster, The Ozark Wildcat and many other great rides! So any questions/comments you have, speak out here!

I just missed the grand opening, darn. I was in Branson a week ago. The rides looked really cool though, but there's always next time.

New Attraction Survey for CCity!
http://www.focusoneresearch.com/CCC04/C2004.asp

Thought you guys might want to give some input. The only one that really interests me is the Wild Mouse, but IMHO they already have too many of that type of coaster at CC. SO...

------------------------------------

Bill, did you go yet? I think I will more than likely end up down there today. We'll see though. If nothing else I will be there on the 10th (SDC too).

I only have one question, is the Jack Rabbit up, or look like it's going to be up soon?

I've been contemplating a trip to Branson next weekend, but I'd prefer to have everything running before I make the drive to Missouri...

Well, I just took a quick look at that survey, but didn't the last survey have much more interesting rides?

C-Bomb...I have similar questions. We're going regardless right after SRM, but I was wondering if all the rides are operational, HOW the woodie is doing, etc....

Once someone returns from inside the park...please let us know....thanks!

Go ahead and check out the trip report section! :)
Not all of the rides are operational yet. Actually the only RIDE that is not operation as of this minute is the Jackrabbit. And the only attraction that is not open yet is the laser show. And the laser show will debut the 31st I think, when they will have their true Grand Grand opening.

Actually there are two surveys this is the other one with some very exciting attractions! Check it out!http://www.focusoneresearch.com/SDCC05/C2005.asp

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!

Wow, they are Considering a Wooden Coaster for Silver Dollar City as well.

Guess what got a 10 from me? Hmm...

If SDC built a woody, I have get up there as soon as possible... especially since there would be two in town. Unfortunately, a CC trip this year is out. :(

------------------
Am I really that shy?

So, in the Ice House, would just a little bit of it actually be in the building? I thought that that was what SDC had decided on already!

I'd like to see the Woody as Well as the Eagle Attraction. Perhaps they should Build Both.

The Ice House Picture looks like a Vekoma Runaway Reptar. From My Expierience on the One at Carowinds, SDC does not Want one of those. There to rough.

I missed Celebration City by one day (I was there this past Wednesday and had to drive by Ozark Wildcat three times---UGH!), but I was able to visit SDC for a few hours. My first thought when seeing the park was, "This would be a perfect place for a terrain woodie!" I sure hope that one wins...

Well the original intention was to have a major ride open up at SDC in '04. This has since changed and it will be a major ride at CC in '04 with SDC in '05. HFE is really putting the crunch on the competition here in Missouri. Both CF and SF are going to have to pull their heads out of their butts and realize they are now IN competition with HFE's properties in Branson - no longer can they say that these parks aren't a force to be reckoned with.

Did you guys ever think we would be saying something like that Swoosh?

What did you guys vote for in the CC 04 one? I just thought it would be neat to have a tall icon ride. But a shoot-the-chutes would help, b/c the only water ride in CC is that Shoot-d-chutes, right? And I agree, CC already has plenty of small coasters like a Mad Mouse. Is the Jackrabbit going to have more than one car on a train?

Does anyone know where I can find photos of CC's opening?
I also voted for an Icon Ride. I think a Frisbee or a Condor would be a great addition.

You can find CC opening pictures somewhere in Themeparksonline.com I think that is the site I saw them at. I went to SDC today instead of CC because my friend couldn't get a pass for another friend in time. Oh well. Just a reminder, SDC is the most crowded on Saturdays. I remember today why I hate going to SDC on Saturdays! It was absolutely PACKED!!! I had to wait 1 hr. 30 min. for Wildfire. But it was worth it as usual! Drove by CC... Looks like the lift on Jackrabbit was complete.
