SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

Thats something really cool (as if it wasnt cool enough) about the lot of Shockwave which is now SM:UF is that you can see the ride basically from all angles and skytrek will be an even better view.Just think Superman here http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery4.htm?Picture=2 thats gonna be cool.

Did any one go to SFGAm this weekend. I would guess they would be trying to put up the staiton put I dont know.Has any trains arrived yet. I hope they start testing in acouple weeks.

I went to take a look yesterday. It doesn't look like they've done anything this week.

My interest here now lies with the landscaping and what will happen to the Shockwave queue house.

I think they will tear down the SW queue station but maybe I am wrong. With all the special loading specs, I don't know if that station is suitable for it. This is my thought

SW's Station was pulled out of the ground and is sitting in the employee parking lot from what I heard.

Edit: I know this has nothing to do with the subject, but did Iron Wolf re-use Z-Force's Queue and station

There is no way that S:UF will be able to use SW's station. As SFGAmNut said, Iron Wolf re-used Z-forces station and queue. That's because the track, trains were alike... hmm I wonder why. I don't think you could fit a B&M train in SW's station.

That's correct. I was at Six Flags for my processing yesterday and the station was behind all the little cages for Sky Whirl as far as I could tell.

What I meant by the queue house was the on actually touching the midway will they demolish that or reuse the old Shockwave entrance for Superman. There is an area above the old Shockwave queue house that was used for storage so they could knock it down and rebuild. Whomever thought the would reuse the Shockwave station is just insane.

I dont see why they would spend the money to demolish the queue house, it is in good condition, can hold a lot of people, fits in with the themeing of the land, and they could easily put up those villian/hero posters they have @ SFOG on the walls.

well i'll bet the crapload of snow we just got put a quick stop to whatever construction is going on. they couldnt have expected this.

Check out these new 3/7 photos. Since the track structure is complete, looks like most of the work is focused on/near the station area. The entrance will be in the same spot as shockwave and will be a considerable hike to the station. This ride does look impressive in person.
