SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

I want to see some new pictures, hopefully they are close ups without trees in the way. That would be sweat. We should definatly get some pics on April 12 or the day after becuase that is a pass processing day.

Check Out My WebSite: http://www.sfgreatamerica.com/

That would be quite sweet if there are close up pics, but it woulnd't be sweat. I will be among the passholdres pre-processing on the 12th so I'm going to bring the digital camera out for my first try at coaster photography. No guarantees on quality though. I'm excited about just seeing the new coaster.
So, Is one of my fellow coaster enthusiasts going to visit Great America and take some SUPER (not funny) photos that they will be posting soon?

Ok I went by SFGAm todayaround 2:00. I sorry didnt take photos cause I forgot my camera(Long Story). But sience my last photo update last weekend not much visable progress has happend other than on the side of the staition they are adding walls. The frame for the station is up. I looked very hard there were no trains that I could see but there were alot of things scatter around the parking lot.Like the piece of Shockwave is still there. I am so sorry i didnt take any pictures today would have been great too the lighting was awesome.

So, Holydumb26, could you see if any landscaping had been done? And when you say frame for the station, do you mean the blue I beams, or the acutal metal walls?

When I say Frame I mean the blue I beams I guess. They are done with the frame so they are adding the metal walls. I saw a yellow cover over the walls. I didnt see any land scaping besides dirt and junk laying around. But I didnt cross on to Six Flags property so I didnt get a great look. I was looking from the gate and other places like on that hill but you cant see that much. If you guys go take pics cause this is hard to explain with out them sorry.

I know what you're talking about, HD. when I stopped by there, I couldn't see much from that area either. I mean, I could see the ride and all, but landscaping is hard to see from that area.

to anyone who's wondering: HD was on the grass just inside the yellow gates that block off the drive to the parking lot...or I'm guessing that's where he was.

Just got back, nothing much new was going on. Some work on Eagle's Helix was being done but thats all I saw. It didn't look like much work was being done on S:UF.

Ok I went today and progress has been made on SM:Uf the staions frame which is the blue steel stuff is up there is a bit of yellow paper still on the side of the wall I dont know why look at the pics http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sixflagsgreatamerica.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=127 and http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sixflagsgreatamerica.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=131 I couldnt see much more that happend but I went on the hill on the left side of the road and thats were I took some of my pictures. There are no trains that I could see anyway maybe there hidding them or the just havent arrived yet. Then I went into a little park thats were I took
http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sixflagsgreatamerica.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=134 while in that park I heard sounds comming from the park. They were testing some coaster Demon I think or raging Bull but on bulls track nothing was happening and I couldnt see demons either. It sounded just like bull or Batman or Iron Wolf or Superman there was lots of chain/anti roll back noise then the humming of a B+M coaster then Mid course breaks more humming then more breaks. But I saw no trains. Iam am confused. If you live in Gurnee check it out today maybe you will be able to see something. I was there around 12:00 so RollrCoastr00 did you here anything? I definataly did.Check out the other pics in the Six Flags Great America album of my Site theres more pics http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sixflagsgreatamerica.msnw?Page=1

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

Yeah It seems like they have been slowing down sience they finished the track. I hope they dont slack to much cause then they might not have it open for the opening.

the yellow paper is probably moisture barrier... you see it put on alot right before the final exterior covering is added to a building

------------------
"It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone"

The Yellow Paper is Foam. They use this foam when they are going to put stucco on the exterior. Also if you look at this picture it appears that they have installed the roof on the Transfer Track.
