SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

Oh well... I'm sure that it'll be worth it. Who cares if you really have to walk a little further. If a B&M Flying coaster isn't a good enough reason to then I don't know what is.

How long does it usually take to make a station and line?

I wouldnt expect it to take very long but I am not sure. Another question have the trains arriverd on site. I bet there in one of those sheds in the emploee parking lot.

well since DaCoasterMan's pics are more up to date and closer, I won't post mine. I do want to say something about the ride, though. absolutly none of the pictures I have seen does the ride justice. everyone has said that Superman is only 120 and is going to be nowhere as impressive as Shockwave was and, although not as tall as SW, Superman is one hell of an impressive ride in person. if you're judging the ride on the pics, you *need* to take a trip up there even if you just see it from the gate.

when I went on 3/1, the dirt pile was as big as ever, but not much was going on. is it May yet?

gimmie a hell yeah!

Having been up close (under it actually) , Superman is a worthy replacement for Shockwave. The trains have arrived but are not assembled yet (apparently B&M trains dont arrive ready-to-go). SFGA Bob, please post your photos. More the merrier. I didnt notice the dirt pile when I was there, maybe it was hidden under all the snow. I have seen several high res final design shots and the station is gonna be killer. Probably one of the coolest I have ever seen. I cant wait to ride this. In refernce to the long walk, I hope they have a shortcut to get back in line near the station 'cause it is gonna suck if you gotta go all the way back to orleans square to re enter during erts and low traffic days. due to the snow I could not tell where the queues will flow, they might not even be built yet.
So, DaCoasterMan, did you happen to take any pictures?

Sorry, I didn't see that he was the one who posted the previous pictures, and you don't have to be a jerk about it.

looking at this picture, the ride seems to be different that the one I rode in Georgia...I'm confused... http://www.geocities.com/pjbnrb2000/suf2003/DSC00016.JPG

When I drove past on 94 last weekend I was amazed by how much you could see from the highway. This ride looks massive and I don't think anyone needs to worry about the skyline.

I don't know if you can access the picture I just posted, but the track looks like it goes under the station, and the station looks like its located in a different place, but I am probably crazy.

Coasteraddict, that area on the right isn't the station. it's the break run. the station is over on the left. It's not visible in that picture.

You're, right....it has been one of those days.

I believe the track runs under the brake run not the station.

How is station construction going? And have the trains arrived yet?

I drove past the park today and no physical construction seemed to be taking place. It looked quiet. But this was just a swoop past the entrance gates, nothing really noticable.

How long does it usually take to build the station and que for a coaster? Has the park said if it will open on opening day, if not, have they set an opening date? Is it official about SFGAm adding Lo-Q? I really hope it is.

RollrCoastr: The ride should be open for opening day. If it isn't they had better get it open by May 17th, or they are going to have to deal with a bunch of unhappy CBuzzers. I can't help you with your other 2 questions though, perhaps someone else can.
