Wow...first Deja Vu, now X. Also, the V2 fiasco. California coaster fans cannot be happy with Six Flags

Off to CP in August, first to IB in late June though!! YEA!!!! :-D It will be a good summer!
Questions:

Crap this is mad scary. I was hoping for an 4th Dimension at Gadv but if X is having serious problems, that's going to discourage Gadv from getting on! Viper was a prototype and it closed for 1 full year! We all thought it was coming down but now it's back up and running. I really don't think SFMM is going to just boot X out like that cause: 1. EVERYONE LOVES IT. 2. it's a what 17-20mill dollar coaster and 3. It can most likely be fixed. I could understand if people didn't like the ride and it cost to much to operate but that's not the issue. X is going to be running after a serious breather and a few nik and naks here and there. Don't worry about it. Batman and Robin took 1 year to fix before it's opening (plus it's closed every other weekend, and let's not forget the lapbar session) and Viper....cough. ;) No one likes Viper but Gadv still fixed it. X cut's atleast 15min queing on every ride in the park. That's something you stick with. Now that I think about, Great adventure needs one of those badly. The Teacups are like a 1hour wait. JK
But then again if SFMM what's to dump it, DROP IT OVER HERE!
One thing I was really surprised about with X is the strong g-forces involved. I imagined, considering the really unique type of vehicle, that they would have made the prototype a little milder, to get some info on how the rotation mechanisms and seat structures hold up.
X, is not mild at all. It's got heavy duty g-forces one the first pullout, the second pullout, and the last raven turn. And that raven turn has the fairly noticable kink in it as well. Watching the train through that part you can really see the force of it.
It seems that they opted for pushing the untested design to the absolute limit on the very first attempt. Hmmmm.

Nope they will remove it, and send it to Astroworld, because that's where all the coasters that don't wprk end up.not really, they have an SLC and it works a pipeline and it works AND a suspended and it WORKS!!!

"X has pretty much been off the main parts of the site for about a week now!Can someone please try to clear a rumor up for me: I heard that on one of the X trains, during operation a seat broke off midway through the ride and dragged the person until the very end. Very far-fetched sounding I know.. but it was mentioned on America Coasters....
Nope, majorly false rumor about an accident. It didn't happen. Sorry. Why on earth someone posted that I don't know, but it's not true.
As for X being on the website, it's not featured, but it's definately there. If you go to the rides page for the park and look at it's pull down menu it's listed right there. Not in an obscure hard to find place, just not on the front page.
I am curious as to what exactly is going on with it though. They were running it up through this last weekend, albeit with just one train. Hoping that they can get things worked out. But with all the problems with it, I sure don't blame them for witholding payment from Arrow on the coaster.

Sometimes it's up. Sometimes it's down.
But with God, life is one thrill ride that you'll never regret being on.
That the ride is only accessible from the drop-down menu seems more like an oversight than anything. They CONSCIOUSLY intended to remove mention of X from the website: it is no longer listed front page and no longer among the attractions in the ride list.
Which is not to say they are intending to dismantle the thing, but it also more or less indicates they expect it to take a good long while before its working again.

Can't this thing go any faster?

Make it to SFNE for S:Ros and BDK!!!!
A bit unnerving, but hey, i wated for 2:45 on a 1 train operation that day, I figured what the hell.

WARNING: May be habit forming
Whoever keeps talking about stresses -
I've never seen X beyond the pictures on the 6 Flags site, but even just that the first thought that occured to me, is how do the lateral Gs not stress the trains to no end and bend the chairs? The cars just do not look strong enough to withstand the forces generated by this style of coaster. I think they need to be built much stronger if all these inversions and switchbacks are going to be built into the track.
Also, the ride looks very intense - other rides like the flying coaster concept are slowly building with rides like X-flight and I think that's a much better way to prove a technology and work out the bugs that weren't corrected in the initial design
Do you think that maybe six flags magic moutain was sick of putting up with maintaining X? It seems to me like it would get very frustrating. Maybe they just................gave up.

Ok, yes, sure, whatever you say. Now let's look at what was opperating while I was there shall we? The "SLC" you referred to was down half the day and was never dependable when it reopened (and hurts when you ride it so why should anyone bother arguing about it who knows). Mindbender was open maybe a 4th of the day. Viper broke down while I was on it. Texas Twister was never open. XLR-8 just plained sucked and to me felt broken because it was so slow compared to say BBW and Ninja. Greezed Lightning broke down halfway thro' the day and never reopened. Batman finally opened around noon but had lots of problems with it's restraints sticking the rest of the day. Ultra Twister was the ONLY reliable ride the entire day. Texas Cyclone was having problems with it's restraints sticking all day as well.
Hmmm sounds like broken coasters to me.
Anywho back to the subject at hand.....

X-Flight is not tame. It hits 4.3Vert G's.
But anyways, I think SF is just waiting for the whole Arrow thing to cool off. They are in terrible situations with X and Deja Vu. They must be very stressed out. Especially since Vekoma is probably not sending matinence parts for SLCs or Flyers either, and probably the reason SFEG got a Zamperla and not Vekoma. (not a B&M because SF was out of money) Am I the only was here who is trying to connect the pieces of the puzzle?

Why do they report power outages on TV?
