Dave's Trips
I guess you must be right Nate. I am not looking for a shouting match here, I would just like some people to look at the big picture.
Your right SFAW is probably not #5 anymore, I was looking at 2001 data. (From Six Flags) What I do know is SFAW did not pull the numbers that were expected so corporate was NOT happy.
Do I think SFAW "Deserves" something? Well, it is not my park and not my decesion. Evidently Six Flags corporate thought it did by signing a deal with CCI. And of course it did not happen for obvious reasons. Personally, a new ride would be nice but it will not affect my life a whole lot either way.
My problem is with blanket statements claiming that everything Six Flags does with it's parks is perfect or if we are a "Have not Park" and comment on it "We "just don't get it." Some of us get it better than you think having relationships with the parks for 20+ years. We get it better than you think. Even the parks that have competition are losing to the competitors.
Six Flags is running itself to the ground. If you don't believe me, look at the stock price. The Stock Holders get it, thats for sure.
Sorry for the rant. I am done here.

Agent Johnson, Six Flags Mexico has less than a square foot of flat land! Okay, more than that, but the position of their park on the foothills of the Sierra Madres doesn't give themmuch to work with in terms of space. It's a big hike just to get up to the western section because of the park's poor layout. I'm guessing you're gonna' have to walk 210 feet up to get to the station of Superman:The Escape when it opens ;)
