I'm going with a woodie. Most likely somthing similar to Ghostrider.
This may be of some interest...

Isn't Cedar Fair planning to buy Michigan's Adventure?
I sure wish you could elaborate just a little bit more on what you said, Jeff... about capacity being a serious issue & what CP might do to address it...
C'mon... you can share it with all of us. We promise not to tell anyone!
Wouldn't that be nice!
But, doesn't it go "Those who know don't (or can't) tell. Those who tell don't know."

Well, all speculation on my part here, but if capacity is the main thing, I'd think TA2k's, flying coasters, and shuttles are all out. Since we don't exactly know what'll be involved in loading 4D trains, that's definitely up in the air.
(I just realized, we can rule out shuttles entirely anyway... That is, unless CP wants to straight-up contradict themselves on the S:TE tip.) -------------

I think with the bugs worked out a high capacity TA2K could be done. 4 abreast trains, and dual tracks would do it nicely. I'm not saying CP is going to do that, but it's a thought.

Maybe they'll add a reverse Whoa Belly and turn a Gemini side backwards for two more coasters calling it a double a negative or something so the issue disappears altogether. (Both are among the worst calls I've ever seen in the theme park industry)

A duel track for Thrust Air 2000?? Are you nuts?!
Somehow, I see a 0% to .0000000001% chance of that ever happening in the near or distant future for any park. Those coasters are expensive as is... so if you add a duel track, that just doubles your price.
A TA2k will be nice, let's just hope it's got a LOT of nice features, and not just one big hill and a couple small ones.
Essentially, Vekoma and S&S are out of the running.
B&M knows capacity. CCI can do capacity. Not sure on GCI. Intamin can kind of do capacity.
Arrow's a possibility, but unlikely.
Well I think Jeff is basically confirming that it will probebly NOT be a TA2K, that ride has serious capacity issues. I think Jeff knows or has a good idea of what it is but cannot tell us. I'am assuming that it will be a coaster though, the question obviously is what kind? I still vote for a woodie but doubdt they will build it. Maybe a B&M sitdown looper with the world record for most inversions? I just dont see them doing a floorless.

Nah, man. One of the things S&S is pushing is how cheap the TA2K is. Compared to LIM coasters, they are a steal, not just in price, but also in operating costs. I forget how much Hypersonic cost, but it was a small amount. Much, much less than a Vekoma SLC, which back in 1998 was running about $10,000,000!!!!
As for a duel track doubling your price: Nope! Sure a dual track coaster is more expensive, but do you think Gemini, Racer, Superman: The Escape etc. cost twice as much with the 2 tracks? Nope, sharing a superstructure saves a LOT of money.

Well if they did put in an air thrust It is going to be big. For one to have a high guest compacity on an airthrust they are going to have to make it long enough to have three cars going at one time.
If they did do a air thrust I say it is going to beat the height barrier and/or beat the length barrier. I would say they are probably going to go with a beamer or cci. But those who know don't tell, those who tell dont know, so we might not find out until they offically announce it.
I think they should spill the beans now and let us know what's going on for next year, because everyone can't wait to find out.
Let's hope they start construction soon, so they finish in time for next May.
This year is a joke, everything is late, broken, 1 train running, or has long waits. CP gave us the hype and delivered last year. Looks like they'll do it again next year.
IMO Cedar Point will get the Dive Machine from B&M as one has not been built in the US yet, thus Cedar Point always wants something just a little better than the competions coasters. IMO Cedar Point has a three coaster contract with B&M, Thus this would be the third. A Dive machine has a small layout which would help Cedar Point and it has resonable capacity, or at leasts the Alton Towers one does. Or if not this then a Tilt Coaster.

Either way make sure its on a coaster
If CP is smart they will put in a huge 4D.
Say for instance they put in a floorless (MM will create one after the CP and make it larger. It always seems that is what MM does).
SFWoA is getting 3 coasters next year (true) one's a 4-D, one's a Deja Vu clone, and the other is a hyper, they will all be built in the parking lot on the wild rides side, mark my words, i garuntee it!

I'm rooting for a B&M flying coaster, but I have a feeling they will get a Ghostrider-type wooden and a Wild Mouse for the boardwalk project...along with some flat/spinning rides. I think it's going to be a big year since there is no new ride this year. That hasn't happened since 1984! Plus, the rides I mentioned don't cost that much. You can probably put them all in for less than it would cost to put any B&M in.
I could see a TA2K in a few years, after some design modifications take place. I can see a TA2K with more than one launch, numerous hills, and a long layout. CP has always gone in one of two directions, breaking new ground (i.e. Magnum, MF, Gemini), or improves on an existing design (i.e. Raptor, Mantis, MS). So, anything is possible, especially things we haven't even seen or considered yet...
