The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

You're not fooling anyone, Paul -- you just want Chicago-style pizza! :)

Holiday World

Well of course Paula but I'll settle for crushed red peppers up at Kringles. If I want Chciago Style I can either order one to be shipped from Lou Malnotti's or make my own as I have a pretty decent recipe for it.

Katie! ROFL! Actually was discussing earlier today that after "Cupid's Arrow" is up and running that a perfect complementary ride for '07 would be none other than "St. Valentine's Day Massacre", a shoot-em-up Sally interactive...probably have to go easy on the violence, LOL...;)

Of course, as always, Will gets SOME input...:)

Ok, people. Here's my guess. You should all get down to South Padre Island (and now Galveston!) to see what Schlitterbahn did to there waterparks.
Stretch your legs.
Splash water on your face.

That could only mean one thing, and I think that HW is a genius for doing it! Any person who knows what Rio Aventura is will know what I mean. You say you are all about capacity? Put one of these puppies in and you will be glad you did! Go to the Schlitterbahn web site and figure out what I mean. Man, I have got to get to Galveston to see the new park with no lines. South Padre's version may have been small, but it was amazing! Ride the rides over and over again! Now, I have never been to HW, but from the water clues, I took a wild guess, and believe me, if this is indeed one of the expansions, you will have me coming to your waterpark. I love this system! I don't mean to be harsh, but I wish this could happen. MBGS would be proud of you! Figure out what I'm talkijng about, and if you can't figure it out, I'll drop the bomb on what I think will happen.

Paul, a ride with stops to shoot things down already exists. Interactive Rides has got a kiddie coaster like that themed to a fireman. You go through the course putting out fires. Here's what you do. Expand that, theme it, and what do you have? A very competitive roller coaster. BTW, I don't think a Ra-style waterpark would be possible; sorry about that. I don't know why I did that. If it was Easter, I think that they should put in a dark ride which tells the story of the crucifixion. Just a thought.

Actually it already has happened!?

If that is what they are doing that is a great idea. but i don't know how u would be able to do that at holiday world? Where they already have lines to all they attractions?

I guess anything is possible though. :/

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

Salem Witch Trial-Land...that's how you incorporate Harry Potter into there...have a teacup ride named "Cauldron" and have the cars shaped like cauldrons...have a restaurant called Witches Brew...and of course, Ravensclaw!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Did somebody say Lou Malnatti's pizza? :-P YUM!

<----who is still seeing red, pink, and white in the HW's future themed area. ;-)

Target can only refer to a Turkey Shoot.

Chuck, who thinks Thanksgiving is a Bullseye.

Thanksgiving huh?

The Mayflower? It could be a dueling woody. One side could be TURKEY, and one side could be HAM.

:-P

For Turkey Day you'd need to have a swinging ship themed to the Mayflower and a nice sit-down restaurant that serves Mrs. Koch's Turkey recipe with all the fixins. Hey I'd love to be able to get turkey and stuffing all summer long!

Actually theres a rumor that the new themed land is Easter egg style with a air launched S&S roller coaster themed to be a journey to the Easter Egg heaven

Peter Cottontail's Ultimate Escape? ;-)

I guess
Paula,

I don't suppose HW has some tie to Nebraska somehow....Arbor Day... It goes along with Will's philosphy...saving trees....

Nevermind...silly me....we Nebraskans invented Arbor Day and even we don't care about the day that much!

My bet is still on Easter. Only because of how it falls in the Calendar compared to the other holidays in the park. Time will tell...

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Well Arbor day is kinda celebrated thoughout HW. They even planted several hundred trees a couple years ago.

Having just returned from riding Hades, Gravity Groups amazing first shot in the wood coaster wars, and assuming what Holiday World is getting is indeed a Gravity Group woodie I hope with all my might that when it came time for Will to discuss with the boys at GG what kind of coaster he wanted he said, "Hades, but more!"

Going to hell hasn't been this exhilerating since Mr. Toad's Wild Ride ;)

Hades, but more wouldn't really fit in with the "family atmosphere" very well though, would it. Even as wild as Raven and Legend are, they are still very rideable for the whole family.
Sounds good

Have you ridden Hades, Swoosh? I didn't think the g-forces were any more intense than Raven and/or Legend.
