The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

Since the last one got trashed, let's start over. The rules are simple... no talk of SOB, Beast Tamer's nonsense, or even pun-fests (that means you, Paula! ;)).

Check out today's (4/21/2005) entry in the HoliBlog.

Now, scroll down and read Paula's entry on 4/13, about wallpapers. Specifically, notice:

In the coming months, we’ll offer current photos, archival pictures, and construction shots.

Lots of construction shots.

SOMETHING interesting is going on there, but they're not going to spill the beans just yet.

How's this...you all are still missing a few hints from our HoliBlog.

I know it's hard on everyone, being kept in the dark for another 6-7 weeks. But it will be all worthwhile someday. :)

Have a great weekend! Paula

Proudly pun-free for __1__post(s)

Woodn’t you like to know?

Well, whatever it is, it’s big.

Really big.

A really big woodie? And are we allowed to use clues that are puns?

Whatever it is it will be great since HW has yet to make a bad choice in my mind.
6-7 weeks? I can hold out that long. :)

By the way Paula, I really miss not seeing you on the Discovery Channel anymore when they played re-runs of the old coaster shows. How's the screaming working out for you?

Well, the article wa about removing trees, so that could be the source of the "wood" in the title ;)

That was my first guess untill RM said that there were clues as to what the ride was. I just got done reading the entire page and that was all that came to mind. Maybe I have to read it all again, unless it really is tax-land.

edit: I was just thinking, and maybe HW wants that AT #1 woodie ranking back. If they asked the GG for that, this is going to be interesting. *** Edited 4/23/2005 12:41:46 AM UTC by RavenTTD***

I am sure it will be great no matter what it is.
My guess is a new land. I'm guessing it won't be tax-related. Easter maybe? Can't wait!

Is that a compliment or an insult? You long for the days that you didn't see her? Eh?

I've looked over the blog page and the "lots of hints" were nowhere I could see... other than the fact that the trees are gone and, probably, aren't visible from inside the park.

And it's "real big." What's "it?" Anyone want to share? Is this viral marketing? Will it get me a free iPod?

Or PSP? Or convince you that UFOs and Ghosts are real? Or make you believe that you really are the 1,000,000th visitor to Cbuzz?

"Kept in the dark"? Maybe it is that dark ride I was hoping for! ;)

I will probably be shot for saying this, but I have yet to visit HW. Trying to squeeze it in for my 2005 season, though.

Reading the blog

"He wants as much shade as possible in the park."
- in the park would refer to the existing park
areas, not a new area

"Keep America Beautiful" - 4th of july section

"The one with the Native American sadly looking out over the polluted, trashed river? " - Will looking down over the top of raging rapids from the top of the hill (note: i dont think the raging rapids is polluted)

guess: Could be a terrain wood coaster starting at the top of the hill in the 4th of july area going down the hill into the picnic area.

I love you all at HW Paula! But this is going to be cruel and unusual punishment. But also, as already stated, it will be worth the wait since HW hasn't made a bad decision yet.

Now officially a Halloween Haunt Cornstalker for Fall '08! www.freewebs.com/chadmicah
That makes sense since the whole thing about comfortable shoes means we will have to walk a long way to get on it. By the way, you go to HW and "squeeze in" other parks.
Is every entry in the Holiblog a clue, Paula?
One of Ella's ideas was, "There should be big snowflakes that you swing back and forth on!"

Giant Frisbee?

Naaah...it would have to be a Revolution or a Fireball or whatever those things are called. The Giant Frisbee has a five-spoke center; to make it look like a snowflake you'd want six spokes...and the seating pods on the ends of the sweeps on the Revolution make it look even more like a prototypical snowflake.

Hmmm...an extreme thrill ride in Christmas. I could live with that, but I don't know how the park people would react to that idea...

--Dave Althoff, Jr.

If I were a gamblin' man (and since I just returned from a casino), I would bet on something in the America section, but, not necessarily a coaster.

Although you can bet that I am hoping for a coaster!

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
