The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

If the new holiday is Easter, they could call the coaster "The Cruciflyer".

Moosh, keeping on-track with your "Jerk" reference...

"Wow.... this is like... a ride!"

Hey now, I resemble that! ;)

Everyone is way off on this one.. the holiday is going to be presidents day .. why do you think she had ronald reagan's photo.. and with the area being the boyhood home to Lincoln.. and they could call the new coaster .. the Declaration of Independence (I don't think there is one of those yet!?!?) and it would fit into their Literature theme sorta.. wasn't there a mention of John Hancock somewhere out there in holiblog land?? Plus we get the earlier months covered... or perhaps its going to be groundhog day and that's where their celebrity fits in .. now they are trying to get a lincoln look alike for the new presidents day unvieling...

Umptyscratch

They could theme the coaster to the "Federalist Papers", everyone's favorite light reading.
"Last-minute hint: We do not plan to put all our eggs in one basket."

So the new holiday is Easter or something else with eggs. *** Edited 6/18/2005 2:05:31 AM UTC by Vortex***

yeah I think easter but then what is the name of the new coaster .... please do not name it jack rabbit. we got enough of them already. especially a sad looking one in NJ that now has a sadly named new friend.

Watch the tram car please....
You know...if the coaster was named after a bird...it could be called the 'stork'....if it was located in the holiday known as Mother's Day. Not likely, I know, I was just trying to think of a different bird type.

BTW, is this the longest coasterbuzz thread ever?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
What about the "Ravenclaw"? That's it...theme an entire land to Harry Potter... ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Last time I checked Harry Potter didn't have his own holiday, but July 16 will be a monumental day!

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

SVL Fever, I think the "Whatever happened to Coasterbuzz" thread lasted a tad longer before finally getting locked...

bill, betting on Valentine's Day and "Cupid's Arrow"....and being very THANKful that it isn't an actual Arrow coaster...;)

Some of your are right on target with the theming ... but not everyone, of course. :)

^Oh is that a hint? Targe, that refers to bows and arrows, which leads to Cupid, which leads to Valentine's Day. LOL! :)

Hmm, let me think about this... The Declaration of Independence is dated July 4, 1776. Wouldn't you think that they would add that to the 4th of July section? I'm sure you were joking, but it doesn't make much sense. *** Edited 6/18/2005 8:27:03 PM UTC by rolacostaking***

We're an independent park ... isn't that enough? :)

Paula,

I have sussed you out - the new land will be dedicated to Burns Night!

Anyone care for a ride on the Hurtling Haggis?

-Jimvy! (well I can dream can't I?);)

LOL! Good one, Jim.

Personally, I see lots of *love* for the new area. Would this mean there will be free chocolate? ;-)

If it's St. Patty's Day, free beer instead of soda? ;-)

-Tina

<----dreaming too, except for the chocolate....don't like sweets.

Paula,

If it is Valentine's day and you are gonna name the coaster the Valentine's day massacre, please please please just don't make it a Vekoma. That would just kill.

Katie, who also think's love is in the air.

Would Memorial Day be too much like July 4th?

Above and Beyond.

Hey my Mother's Grandmother was a member of the Capone gang and on the other side of my family my Father's Grandfather sold Al his bullet proof Cadillacs. What about a themed chase through the streets of Chicago with stops to gun gown the North Side Gang and ending up at the Lexington Hotel which was Al's headquarters.

On second thought that really doesn't fir the family atmosphere that is Holiday World but if they're adding a Valentines section I want a tunnel of love and a wooden coaster called the Heartbraker.

Have Fun
