The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

I Vote for "Thanksgiving". Easier to theme and fits into the feel of the park better. How about the "Pilgram's Progress" Coaster. Fits in the new section and keeps with the Classic Lit. names of Raven and Legend. The ride that will have to be moved is the "Indian River" kiddy boat ride because it fits in this section better. Other new attractions will be the Plymoth Rock and Roll music show and Mrs. Koch's MayFLOWER garden. I personally am looking forward to the free-unlimited "Wild Turkey" Oasis.

Yeah, Turkey Day wins my vote too.

I think they'll have to be inventive, but that's my vote.

So, Bill and Matthew, was this "big bird" thing just a red herring?

Not necessarily.

Perhaps the trick here is to think of potential pices of literature and try and come up with possible names for a new coaster.

From there you can probably decipher or at least narrow down the Holiday.

If indeed a coaster is going in... and if indeed the coaster will go into that new themed section.

Not to drag this off-topic, especially since there is something to speculate about, but it happened again today, this time about 50 miles closer to Los Angeles and in a more populated area. No word of damage or injury yet.

...and now back to Holiday World...

Wow, is that the third in the last week? That is pretty scary.

I am going with Thanksgiving just because I don't want to see a rollercoaster themed to Valentines Day.

Yes, RavenTDD...second in So Cal, the other was north by the Oregon border. Today I was in an elevator and didn't feel it but when I walked into the office everyone was talking about it. While the two in So Cal may be related the one up north is just a coincidence.

As for a coaster themes to Valentines Day, how about Jack Rabbit?

Bunny Hop, the world's tallest fastest kiddie coaster? ;)
I believe that title belongs to Nitro. ;)
"As for a coaster themes to Valentines Day, how about Jack Rabbit?"

For shame Moosh! Why didn't you just say bow-chika-wow-wow the ride?

That was my second choice ;)
You know... in one of her posts or blogs... Paula did mention something about a large bird flying above her. Perhaps a reference to a Turkey? Yuk Yuk

Come ride "The Gobbler" - Holiday World's new coaster!

"Please keep your hands and arms inside the Gobbler at all times. Sit back and enjoy your ride as you flip the bird!"

Turkeys fly?
They should build an April Fools land with a bunch of queue lines with no rides.
"Turkeys fly?"

Hence the Yuk Yuk ;-)

Well, in Southern Indiana there are lots of slop farms... so perhaps pigs there do.

Q: "What is HW up to?"

A: 30 pages and counting... ;)

Wonder if Will celebrated when the thread turned 30? :)

Oh my, I forgot to mention something. I conceded my bet with Jeff on the supports since this ride will indeed be a steel support woodie. Jeff, being the cool guy that he is, did not make me pay double for my c-buzz memembership. I am now back to ad-free surfing and a tad disappointed in the decision to go with steel supports, but I hope that means we can expect a bit more out of the ride.
If they call it the "Wild Turkey", they could add a spash-down in a large lake of gravy.
