The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

The earthquake was in 1986. We felt it in Michigan, and I remember because I was pregnant and in Chi Chi's drinking water for an ultrasound and saw ripples in the water and the blinds in the window swaying.

It would seem to me, as well, the ride to be moved (or taken out) would be the flyers. If I recall, that would lead back to the open area and the "expansion" would be on the right with Splashin' Safari on the left.

I've already told Ian and Gordon we will be planning a trip to Holiday World next season, as whatever they build, I'm sure it will be well worth the 7 hour trip.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

So next year are there going to be free "Girls of HW" calendars?
There could be a calendar - Remember from an earlier Holiblog that Mrs. Koch wants to be an exotic dancer! *** Edited 6/14/2005 9:43:03 PM UTC by Kraven the Raven***

So back on topic: Paula - its June 15th...any word on an announcement date? ;)

Yeah!!!! Im on the edge of my seat here! (not really, Im actually landscaping around my house)
She already announced a date on which she announced the date that we would not know the announcement date by. Good thing we already know this is a Gravity Group woodie or this would really be bugging me. ;)

You landscape with a laptop, John?

No, I take my occasional break, and this was one of them.... You Silly Goose!
Did anyone notice Paula's Holiblog from yesterday.

I found three things interesting.

1) The title of the article is "A little closer to the edge". This title does not seem to fit this blog. Could this be a clue? If so, what?

2) Her new number is 360. To me, this brings to mind a helix, a looping coaster, or a 360 theater. (Or maybe she, Mrs. Koch and Will are all going to star in the new HullaHoop Stunt Action Thrill Show in the Hooser Theater next season.)

3) Her last line, "No wonder I feel all turned around." Again, this line sounds out of place in this blog. What can "turned around" tell us about next years addition? $13+ Million to build the worlds largest Gravatron.

It's official: they're adding a new holiday themed section. Read more in today's Holiblog.

My vote goes to Valentine's Day.
I hope it's not Valentines day, that whole holiday just seems tacky to me.

Yeah, I thought the "Cupid clues" were a bit strong... ;)

Of course, I just LOVE the place regardless of the new themed area... :)

I popped into the park yesterday to see how much had changed since a little over a week ago- HOLY COW. It appears now that the entire area between splashin safari and the employee parking lot is being cleared for something, and this also includes the area between 4th of july and the lot! I've got some pictures that I'll put up by tomorrow hopefully, but the "larger" rectangular area(now built up and leveled like 20 foot) I saw the other week now looks small compared to the rest of the clearing. Also the only visible tree clearing now looks very much like it has been carved out of the woods for a large turn around for a coaster- I can imagine something like the turn-around after the drop on thunderhead. Which was kindof funny to now read a possible clue about a turn around in the Holiblog. Hmmmm.

Where the clearing meets the parking lot(which makes me wonder if this is the thing being moved or removed!), there were large concrete-looking pipes. Something for a new water attraction? Either way I still think this raised rectangular area is for SS while the looser clearing(which keeps getting bigger :) ) is for the "coaster" and now, new themed area. *** Edited 6/16/2005 7:49:59 PM UTC by Mr. Bubbles***

Let me see it I got this straight here. Paula announced the date on which she announced the date on which she announced a ballpark date on which she may announce the date that they will (most likely) announce? At least she gave us a "partial announcement" in lieu of the snafu date.
After reading the Holiblog entry about that stray piece of trash, I began thinking about my visit to Holiday World. As Paula pointed out, Mrs. Koch usually stands out front and greets guests. Knowing this, I was very excited about introducing myself to her and telling her how much I loved Holiday World. I am saddened to say that Mrs. Koch must have had something else on her mind that day....because when I approached her, smiled and held out my hand to shake her hand and said "Mrs. Koch, I'm so pleased to meet you", she looked at me like I was crazy, said nothing, gave me a cold handshake and turned away. I'm not telling this here to make Mrs. Koch look bad...after all, we all have less than stellar days. She probably didn't even realize how dissappointed I was at her reaction. But I just thought I'd mention it here to remind everyone that even the slightest most insignificant things can affect someone's experience.
Well she could have told us nothing about release dates, but she did anyway. Turns out they had to change them, but I'd rather know what's happening, even if its changing, than be kept in the dark! :)

So, Bill and Matthew, was this "big bird" thing just a red herring? I can't think of any big bird connected to Valentine's Day...

They Live. We Sleep.

Silly Robo, herring is a fish, not a bird....what a turkey! ;)
