P.S. I'm in favor of moving a ride....replacing means something is gone, and I'd miss anything that left HW...of course, if it's like the '05 *upgrade* (Roundhouse), then that becomes moot...;)
Wouldn't they have to move the picnic areas for the ride to get back to the new area. Also, will the ride be where the employee parking lot is now?
1. Not necessarilly, and 2. the clearing as of last week was next to the lot but not including it. But the location and possibilities would ALL depend on knowing exactly what the ride is and there is only one person on this forum who knows for sure. *** Edited 6/12/2005 6:14:58 AM UTC by Mr. Bubbles***
Good luck with the tours...sorry about the weather.
Clint, that same show was on PBS yesterday. I watched it with my mom. She said "So you been to this Holiday World place?" ;-)
Great show!

A park chain with deep pockets will at times invest lots of capitol into one park, but even then there are limits. SFWoA hit Six Flags hard financially, became a kind of money pit they couldn't wait to get out of. So how does Holiday World do it?
Maybe it's the free soda that makes HH so successful. Lake Compounce is doing it now too. What a great trend, hopefully it will catch on. Is Holiday World's success an example of great customer service paying astronomical dividens? Lake Compounce is going to be so cool! *** Edited 6/13/2005 7:06:24 PM UTC by rc-madness***
a quick quote from CoastaPlaya in another thread:
I'd almost prefer they[Cedar Point] didn't[build a wooden coaster]. What are they gonna do? Build a Hades? An Avalanche? A Boulder Dash? A HW '06? Something with half as much originality? I think not.But it would be nice.
Although I'd better be careful in this room full of coaster geeks...someone's liable to point out that Maggie wasn't built yet. ;)
