One ride will either be moved or replaced. Either way, its current spot will be used for something else. I don't believe the decision has been made yet whether the ride will simply move or whether a newer version of the same ride will go in the new location.
Paula (and no, I won't reveal which ride :))

Thats the only ride I can think of in a possition to be indangered by this move.
Chuck, Who enjoyed burrying his flyer tub in the tree near the restrooms :)
Have not been to the park yet this year. Where is the land being cleared?? This could be a hint as to what has to be moved. *** Edited 6/10/2005 9:05:50 PM UTC by Kraven the Raven*** *** Edited 6/11/2005 12:28:02 PM UTC by Kraven the Raven***
I doubt the Scrambler will ever be affected much because anything of a large size going in there would block the most beautiful view of the park. :)
There was a younger woman with pulled back, medium length, brown hair giving a few brief statements about the park.. was it you? It makes sense to have the PR director speak, but the program was at least 5 or 6 years old, and I don't know how long you've held this position @ Holiday World. Just curious.

The fully equipped version with 32 tilting seats and the earthquake mode is the only way to go. This could almost be a better drop ride than Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World!! We need one of these in the USA really badly!! But if the lines for LL hasn't been too bad this ride can wait until the lines get really long for LL than it will need a replacement with a higher capacity like the Xtended Power Tower! :-)
Paula will the ride that is getting moved or removed be revealed when the 2006 announcement will be made? *** Edited 6/10/2005 10:39:34 PM UTC by Pink Floyd Fanatic***
That was Natalie, Will's youngest sister.

I agree that it is doubtful that anything big will ever go into the area where the scrambler is. This is a great view of the park, but it is a lot of "green" space. I would love to see a "classic" ride go in this area. Fits well with the parks feel and history. Do it right and it could add to the view. A well groomed area with paths, benches, and shade trees would be a nice addition to the park as well.
I like your theory on a big coaster starting in 4th section with an Eagles move. This would cut off the area needed for SS 2x expanstion. However if it is planned right, with the track elevation right, you could run a coaster (esp. a steel) right thru the middle of the water park without much disruption.
I gotta get to more of those parks soon. It is so weird seeing CP without Millie and TTD and WT, as well as Kennywood without Phantom's Revenge and Holiday world without Legend and...
;)
Happily, HW is still around...:)
bill, saw that show only recently...yay for PBS!
They so suck for making me miss out on my one chance at Whalom. I wanted to get back there for years, esp. on a SFNE trip. Now all hope is lost :(.
One attraction I thought would get the axe would be The Wave, (or at least be changed around) since we have the new pool this year
Will there be new catering facilities built as well?
