Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

I have been thinking all along it is not a clone. My thoughts are that the one in gorgia that could have gone into wizzers spot was sent to gorgia after we were having problems here. Then I bet they knew from the beginning that shockwave was going and ordered a bigger model of a B&M flyer. The whole wizzer thing was a stunt to boost riders. SFGAm is a B&M park, they have a ton of 1st of a kind B&M. If they couldn't get a 1st of a kind do the next best thing. Make it the biggest of its kind!

Coasterdude,

I hope you're right...but even if it does end up being a clone, it'll still be a great ride.

Now now now, let's not set ourselves up for a letdown...
that would be so cool for it to not be clone but I think its going to be the same as the other 2. But time will tell....

thats all a good theory cept for the first part... seeing as how the whizzer event happened several months after S:UF in georgia opened.

however i could see it as possible that SFGADv was supposed to get a different (possibly wooden) coaster which was cancelled when the whizzer event happened and now they're getting our flyer.

that could explain the fact that the SFGADv construction site changed from where it was originally thought to be.

i dunno, all speculation.

Hang on, I'm getting something here...

Ah ha! This just in, folks. It's a clone! ;)

But seriously, while I really (read: REALLY) wanted a large B&M floorless to take Shockwaves spot way back when, this is an okay replacement. I do like the ride a lot. I wish SFGAm opted for the double station, however. :-\

But oh well, it's another B&M for me to ride, and therefore I'm happy!

I really do hope that we get a new themed area to the park next year, Iwould really hate to see Orleans place get filled up with abunch of Superhero crap. It would be cool if they added a few flats where power dive and CCH were that are cajun themed.

regarding what that large solo support could be, take a look at this picture. look at the exit of the pretzel loop just before the track goes into the turn. there seems to be a support quite similiar to our mystery support. if you look at BMCoaster's edited shockwave pic, the mystery support and the support in that pic line up. if you use thrill network's edited SW pic, then there is no explaniation. the only problem with this theory is that our support is then facing the wrong way.

Do any of you know how to build a sundial out of a pen and a donut?
uh oh, sounds like someone has a case of the mondays.

SFGA Bob, look at how that support is. The supports are in a weird design and are going in 3 completely different directions. The solo support at SFGAm's has those supports in a line kinda and they are all going the same way. Look more closely at them. Compare the pictures. First look at this http://groups.msn.com/SFGAM2003Construction/sfgam2003.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=14 "]

Then look at this one http://www.digital-coaster.com/~ft/bm/ultima5.jpg See the difference?

Restraining orders are just another way of saying I love you.

I took some pictures today, unfortunately I didn't get their until 4 o'clock so it was getting dark and it was very overcast. I touched up the pics with Paint Shop so they would look a little better. The pictures were taken from the Grand Ave entrance in front of the gate, on top of the hill, and at the drop off.

I created another group on MSN, didn't see the other one before I uploaded these. The pictures are at

edit-if you click on Documents there is a small video that was taken with the digital camera, it looks really bad, and shows the station to the dirt pile and that solo support and the lift.

OMG!!! Those are really, really good pics.Keep them coming Katana.
That little video makes that solo support look like it is way out in the middle of the parking lot, at least in my eyes. It was too short and small for me to be able to actually see well.

Wood Rules!

Well by seeing the location of the Station from the pics it shows us alot. The more than likely will not be enough room for an additional themed section in the park. Maybe just a large Superman logo on the ground or something, and a store or something. It will be an interesting view traveling up the Northeast side of the park with an entirely different view of the park and surrounding area.

Katana - did you notice if the "SOLO" support was within the fenced in area? From what I could see it wasn't. Just curoius if you could tell anything from your angle from inside the gates.

Maybe some photos from a different angle tomorrow.

Wow its starting t look really good. Now if only the park could reinstall ShockWave and SkyWhirl, then it would be complete. Oh by he way, wasn't there surveyor marks in the drop off zone?

WOW!! Katana, those are some really awesome pics! By the looks of it, the coaster will most likely be a clone like the others, which will be awesome!

good photos and all... but damn...shouldnt you get arrested or evicted or somthing now from the park? because some of those pics were taken in off limits areas? wouldnt a gate like this: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/gallery/Dec22/DSCF0004edited2 stop you? that area is blocked off for a reason... and you proved to the masses that you were in places where you shouldnt of been... by what you said and the pics you took... but whatever floats your boat... its yourself you are puttin at risk... jive

I know this is off topic, but does any one know the status on East River Crawler? Since they have some land where ShockWave was maybe they could put it there?
