SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

I hope I don't get my hopes up too high. A custom design is very promising though, so I make me happy.
I just really cant wait for the announcement. The site still has that stretched out question mark and the same information.

Likely they will announce officially at No Coaster Con in a little over 2 weeks. That is when SFGAm has officially announced it's new rides in recent memory.

My website - Zero G Thrills

That's not where they formally announce rides. For V2/DV they did a split conference, one in chicago, one in milwaukee, for each ride.

I have an update [url="http://groups.msn.com/SixFlagsGreatAmerica2003construction/_whatsnew.msnw"][url="http://http://groups.msn.com/SixFlagsGreatAmerica2003construction/_whatsnew.msnw" target="_blank">

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

I don't know itf this has been brought up before, but does anybody know if the ride area will be nicely landscaped and/or themed? I cannot tell if it is just a "parking lot" coaster in the pictures.

Of course you cant tell. Its still under construction. Hopefully it will be situated just like the artist rendering of the SFGAdv S:UF.

But we shall see within a few months.

2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity. :)

Well put Chitown. We'll just have to wait and see what we get this spring. We all should be happy with this new ride. It doesn't matter if it's a clone or not, or if it has landscaping, it's a new ride for us to enjoy!

Things to do in the offseason:
1. Have fun with friends 2. Ski in the great outdoors
3. Not sit in front of the computer for hours obsessing about coasters

I think there will not be parking lot because in all the updates the dirt pile keeps getting bigger and bigger. At least I hope.
I don't care if it is a clone...or if it has a repetetive title, but a flying coaster in in a parking lot...at my home park--that would make me furious!

Yeah, I don't see any other reason for the dirt pile....
I just wonder if S:UF is all we're going to get. I know that Shock Waves Queue House will be removed, and that would be a perfect new walk way to a new area.

Good buy old friend :-(

Well - everyone I have an update for you. Reference the link from page 1 or view here:

Also the most interesting thing is that we may have a footer on that solo support. If that's the case its a long way away from the construction site. Just look at the pictures I have posted.

Another thing, remember that anything SFGAM builds they have to have a permit to build over 125'. What if this coaster is taller due to the fact that Shockwave was already in the position so it would be on the same location of Shockwave which may not require a height permit. Just a thought.

More updates coming next week.

It looks as if that support IS on footers!

-----------------
Restraining orders are just another way of saying I love you.

Or it's just on some type of temporary footer. I can't really tell from the photos, but we'll just have to wait and see

i think its temporary

What would be the point of a temporary footer. Why wouldn't they just lay it down on the ground.

Maybe this is the beginnings of the new 4d that they were hiding out in the shed!! (Those posting on this board last summer should appreciate the humor, to all others, bear with me).

that's my question. a temporary footer makes no sense... but neither does a support so far away from the rest of a coaster that looks to be a clone

this is all very weird

They is no way they would put it on a temporary footer when everything else is being built on the ground. Plus why would still be up after so long. It could be a clone with just something added to the end? The only way to know with out the announcement would be to get in there and count the number of track pieces and compare.

Thanks for the updates. Keep them coming.
