SFGAM 2003 Construction Photo's

Georgia's area has some hills, so not completely flat. Both Great Adventure and Great America are building on parking lots so their supports should be the same.

hot off the press:

well someone just posted on DNET that the solo support is NOT bolted down... so that means we are now most likely talking a clone

...but that solo support looks nothing like any of the supports on SUF at SFOG or like any in the concept drawing for SFGAdv, so there IS still a hope that it will still be a clone but with a little something extra.

Interesting - Well maybe sometime soon we will get the formal announcement of the coaster since we have entered 2003.

Get a Zoom-Zoom camera and tresspassing isn't needed.

Later

SFGAm is probably going to announce the new coaster this month so lets all calm down and just wait patiently. Myself included which is going to have a hard time waiting for the official announcement.;)

I don't know if any body can tell as of yet, but does anybody think by the looks of this pic that the coaster could have a double station.
Well there are not any "no trespassing" signs ...yes there is go to the entrance and look to your right the sign is right there
Upsidedowner, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't S:UF have a double station too? So with this most likely being a clone, it probably will have double stations.

Thats probably not for a station. Both Georgia's and Jersey's SUF's have a break run, and then a U Turn into the station.

It looks like to me that the parking lot is still there. Do you think that they will fill in with dirt after the ride is built. I saw the "pile of dirt" but not sure if that was from the site of SW or brought in dirt from elsewhere.

In the interview with the Public Relations Director at SFGAdv she said that the one in Georgia had two stations.

Take a closer look, bud.

Katana, what is the link to the new pictures you took?
Upsidedowner, what you are were looking at was the transfer track and storage track, most likely it will be single station because I haven't seen anywhere the switchable track to make the double station.

Its hard to tell if the support is bolted down because when i went to the park to the park for a update (1/1/2003) there was track around the support so it was hard to tell even fromthe hills by the entrence. But it does not look like its secured to the ground.

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

I see that, Krax, but look at how close Georgia's Stations are, and how far apart GAm's mystery "station" is.

There are also supports that look to be for the transfer track.

Yea those two sections are much further apart than the ones at SFoG. Mysterious... ;)

Prehaps this might be what SFGAm is building! If you look closely to the picture of the coaster and the construction pictures, they are kind of the same, like the turn out of the station in the construction pics, is the same as the rumored one in this picture.

This has been discussed before and I believe this is a custum design by someone. You never know - the only thing is that the brake run has already begun to take shape and it is starting to look like the finish that is on SFOG and SFGADV's versions, which is completely different from the one shown in the picture.

Hey all

Well, I'm not from the Chicago area, but I think we are planning on going up there to SFGAm next summer. (I live in the St. Louis Area) And, I noticed in the picture/drawing of the Superman going in to SFGAdv, that it is a little different from the one in Georgia. So, I do not believe that the SFOG and the SFGAdv ones are clones. The turn coming right out of the station on SFOG doesn't seem like a 90 degree turn, but the one at SFGAdv looks like it will be. But, still, they are really close. Hey, even if SFGAm gets a clone, I will still be happy! I've been on the one at SFOG, and it's great! Intense, but great! :-)
