Kel, I did combo Rebirth, and used Aaron in Japan's DDR Calculator to see if I pulled of an AA, and if fact, I did :). Rebirth's combo is 433, and I got 52 greats, so that would leave 381 perfects which together equal a 93.99% perfect percentage. And we all know that 93% perfects equals an AA, so I just barely pulled it off within a few greats. Talk about luck!
I went to an arcade Friday night, an arcade that would be the site of a tournament the next day. I have never seen so many good players together. I saw a guy AAA *SO DEEP*. Almost everyone there was SDG'ing every song. I felt like a loser. :)
If EVER there was another DDR mix, Wonderland DEFINITELY needs to make a return.
Sad day for me last Thursday. DDR was taken out of Tilt. That means - no tournament, no regulars, a lot of PISSED off people. Oh well.
I was going to ask you to be a judge Kel, but that doesn't matter now, lol.
Going to start playing at Cal Poly alongside Kel if he shows up like he says that he might. Going to make this a Tuesday / Thursday thing.
Any suggestions for songs to try on doubles?
;)

Wow! You BARELY squeaked by on Rebirth, AB! But congrats to ya! :)
Den...if i could AAA So Deep...man...that would be just "whoa".
I'll be in the games room this morning Niko, from 9 to 9:45 since i have a class at 10. Being a judge would be pretty tight. I think we're supposed to have a DDR tournament at cal poly in the fall. I might enter, but then again i might be a judge...depends on my skill level when the tourney comes up.
EDIT: Give me Mortal Kombat 3, and i'll start KILLIN' peeps with Kabal =D *** Edited 3/30/2004 3:31:33 PM UTC by Kel*** *** Edited 3/31/2004 5:57:36 PM UTC by Kel***
(good X 12) + (great x 6) < perfect == AA
I've never AA'd with a boo of miss, so.....
It's not exact, but it's close enough.
(I think it's actually good x 13.3, great x 6.2)
I haven't re-calculated this with freezes..... *** Edited 3/30/2004 9:22:12 PM UTC by ApolloAndy***

Anyways, with that disaster averted, at our weekly gaming hang-out at my friends house, one of our friends brought DDRMAX2 (why didn't he do that before?) and I tried So Deep on heavy. I failed it pretty good, but I attribute that to the soft pads, since I'm more of the Arcade DDRer.
Over the weekend I dropped by the arcade and tried So Deep on Heavy again... I got further but still failed, I'm guessing a measure or two before the music "changes".

1.Twilight Zone:D
2.Tsugaru:B
3.Rain of Sorrow:D
4.I Feel:C(that song is major craptastic)
5.Breakdown:D
6.Burning heat:D
7.Paranoia KCET:C(on my first try, EASY song)
I really haven't had time to work on any of the songs yet, because I've been unlocking them all on Max2. I've only got three more unlocks to go, and I believe those would be Xenon, Kakumei, and Endless mode.
Man, I really need to figure out crossovers.
Boom Boom Dollar k.o.g. mix from one of the mixes also has some pretty basic crossovers (or crossunders, I can't remember which) which are pretty easy to spot coming up, so they can help build confidence and literacy.

I spent a few hours at the arcade today and passed the following 9-footers, most of which I'd never played before:
A Oni, Dynamite Rave Oni, Luv to Me Disco Mix, Do Me, Furuhata's Theme (the last two on 4th Mix Plus).
Also came *very* close to passing Paranoia Survivor - within 5 seconds of the end. :(
Sorry if this post doesn't really fit in, lol.
Light. Oh well. The game still wanted to call me a dancin' master. ;)

There was a Photoshopped AAAA on the Aaron in Japan site (linked at the top of this page) that a lot of people believed, but now the site admits it was a hoax. The photo's still up there.
